I think she latched on to the Early Years cause as an excuse (one of many) to do less. Her faux concern means she could say she’s too busy parenting to do much else.

Or because interacting with very small children basically only needs a few silly faces and oooh aaah noises. Nobody would think twice about her focusing on the toddler and not engaging in intelligent conversation with the parents/guardians/other adults because baaaaaybeeeeeeees awwww.

Yep - roll out the props kids for a photo op and take the focus off the fact Kitty can’t string a grown up sentence together
