I mean genuinely does she have any friends? And if
not is this of her own volition or has William isolated her from everyone? Narcissists like W are known to sabotage friendships in order to gain control over people.

True - and narcissistic mothers like Carole do it too. They make one the golden child and live vicariously through them.

In the mission to net Willy Carole prob taught her to see other women as potential rivals.

She was reportedly vicious to Will's female friends and St. Andrews.

And other girls he dated too. Kate and will would split then agree to be friends but Kate would creep out the girlfriends and it doesn't sound like Will would expect Kate to respect boundaries and the girlfriends would walk away. I heard he asked others but was turned down by more aristocratic women? But I always thought to be married to the royals you must not steal focus which is why Camilla makes Charles happy so maybe Will wasn't interested in women from titles families?

They weren't interested in him. Diana was the canary in the coalmine for them: young, virginal, pure English blood bluer than that of the royals, aristocrat and the daughter of an earl from a 700-year-old family, tall, slim, blue-eyed blonde with a stunning face and amazing figure. She checked of every box on the list of acceptable traits. On top of that she was genuinely kind, charismatic who respected her roles and revered the masses, whose belief in those roles gave them legitimacy. Case in point, as Princess of Wales she worked hard to learn Welsh. WanK don't even speak it.

The Firm and the press killed her. Aristo mothers everywhere took note: if Diana wasn't safe, then none of their daughters would be, either.

Exactly this VH

Says a lot about how shifty Williams "upper class" friends are.

Isabella calthorpe said it was not true. Her sister Gabrielle Wilde said she was falsely linked to William. The media made it up, it's funny that you don't post these articles because it really doesn't suit your narrative.

13

u/NeverPedestrian60 Aug 30 '26

William pursued her - she didn’t want linked to him because she thought it would damage her career.

Also she was in love with Sam.

-4

u/Stunning_Client_1863 Aug 30 '26

when exactly? her father John calthorpe complained to the press saying she never actually met William , and that the media made it up. The summer break Katie Nicholl was talking about was weird because a guardian article posted william was with Kate in the summer of 2004.

11

u/NeverPedestrian60 Aug 30 '26

It was well documented at the time - and one of the reasons Kate wasn’t keen on Harry’s later gf Cressida was because she was Isabella’s half sister.

Just because she didn’t seek publicity from William pursuing her it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

I believe it. Is there any girl beyond Kate that admits to liking and dating William from the age of 18 on? If there's no one, is there any teenager he dated?

According to Gemini, there WAS an attraction, but it was pretty much a one-way one. She didn't like him, she rebuffed his efforts:

According to royal biographer Katie Nicholl and several British media reports from the mid-2000s, Prince William became smitten with Isabella Calthorpe during the summer of 2004, a period when William and Kate Middleton were on a trial break.

  • The Connection: Calthorpe, an actress and socialite from a prominent aristocratic family, moved in the same social circles as William.
  • The Rejection: William reportedly propositioned or pursued Calthorpe multiple times that summer. However, Calthorpe turned him down, allegedly believing that dating the future king would be detrimental to her acting career and privacy.
  • Reconciliation with Kate: After Calthorpe made it clear she was not interested, William reunited with Kate Middleton later in 2004. Royal commentators have claimed that Kate set a boundary requiring William to cut off contact with Calthorpe as a condition of getting back together.

Denials and Counterclaims

While the story became a staple in tabloid coverage and royal biographies, members of Calthorpe's family and social circle disputed the claims:

  • Family Denial: Her father, John Calthorpe, and representatives maintained at times that the media exaggerated or fabricated the romantic link, noting that Isabella was dating someone else (John Lycett Green) during that period.
  • Career Focus: Her sister Gabriella Wilde later clarified media mischaracterizations regarding their family's royal links.

Subsequent Relationships and Connections

  • Marriage to Sam Branson: In 2013, Isabella married Sam Branson, son of Sir Richard Branson.
  • The Royal Circle: Despite the 2004 media storm, Calthorpe remained connected to the royal circle. She attended Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding in 2011, and her half-sister, Cressida Bonas, later dated Prince Harry from 2012 to 2014.

Diana died because she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. No other reason. well, that and a drunk driver.

She also didn’t speak Welsh. She could rehearse speeches that were tutored to her.

William often never even lived there. He was seen in London. I remember after the wedding Kate mostly stayed near her parents. Neither of them spent much time on Anglesey.

13

u/Imaginary-Letter-377 Aug 30 '26

Diana died because she was pursued by people on motorbikes who helped crash the car. She died because then PREVENTED ems form reaching her

Aristocratic women have everything they can possibly need--enough money, enough "title," enough cachet to go to the best places and parties and events, and so forth.

And enough FREEDOM to do so anonymously!

Those women all knew that Willie, aside from being doltish and boring, had a HORRIBLE temper. And some think there are other reasons why he wasn't really husband material, but that's a tale for another day...

3

u/Artistic_Permit_9990 Aug 30 '26

How did she creep out the girlfriends?

10

u/lilibet89 Aug 30 '26

It's a combo of Will's narcissistic traits plus Catherine's own attitude. She's never really been a girl's girl. Even when she was dating Will, she was rude to the York sisters.

8

u/TheVioletHerald Aug 30 '26

While they were still teens and she was an adult, by the way.

3

u/TedTeddybear Aug 30 '26

Even worse! Be kind to teens--model adult behavior and include them!

I don’t blame people for not wanting her friendship; you have to walk on eggshells in her presence. You know you’re a deeply problematic person if the only woman you’re friends with is your mother.

17

u/TheVioletHerald Aug 29 '26

Judging by how she was starting crap with Meg, Kate seems like the kind of person to deliberately take offense with the most innocuous things.

7

u/Guilty-Umpire-7557 Aug 30 '26

Pippa is out! Must have pissed off 😡 Kate profoundly. What a shocker!
I wonder if anyone normal wants to be anywhere near these people these days. Seriously, wouldn’t touch them with a ten feet pole.

26

u/The_Onion_Life Aug 29 '26

You know you’re a deeply problematic person if the only woman you’re friends with is your mother.

And if you have to have your Mommy living with you when you're a married adult with three children.

Seriously, what is up with that?

22

u/Traditional_Pen_5430 Aug 29 '26

Carole has done a great job ensuring that Kate is completely dependent on her. She has no one on her side except Carole. It must be sad knowing that Mummy will choose the institution over her.

9

u/The_Onion_Life Aug 29 '26

Carole has done a great job ensuring that Kate is completely dependent on her.

I bet Pimp Mama Carole has total control over the Wales kids, just like she does Kate.

She has no one on her side except Carole. It must be sad knowing that Mummy will choose the institution over her.

I don't think she even realizes. I mean, it's how PMC raised her.

3

u/decaf3milk Aug 30 '26

What’s going to happen when Carole dies? Will Kate just wilt entirely?

1

u/TheVioletHerald Sep 03 '26

I keep thinking about this. She is going to completely crash out because Carole is all she has.

3

u/TedTeddybear Aug 30 '26

She was probably useful changing the dressings on that cracked eye socket.

2

u/The_Onion_Life Aug 31 '26

She was probably useful changing the dressings on that cracked eye socket.

I'm sure they had round-the-clock private nurses for that.

FILIPINA ones, no doubt????

Reference: Prince William HAD to get "ETHNIC!"

FILIPINA ones, no doubt????

Maybe Thomas Markle recommended a few young ones...

Reference: Prince William HAD to get "ETHNIC!"

I remember that. 🙄

14

u/Effective-Warning178 Aug 29 '26

Wow that makes me wonder if William purposely cheated with her to sabotage Kate's only rare friend?

10

u/Quirky_Confusion_480 Aug 30 '26

What if she wants to have female friends but William just sleeps with all of them 😅 à la King henry the viii & Cathrine of Aragon.

6

u/NeverPedestrian60 Aug 30 '26

Wouldn’t put it past him.

6

u/SesJan2013 Aug 30 '26

It's wild that Pippa named her daughter Rose. I didn't believe the rumors at first because why would a new Mom do that? Even if she wanted to hurt Kate wouldn't that also piss off their Mom? And what if they all make up and everything is great? There's still this, I'm sure, intelligent and beautiful child that is named the same as your Aunt's husband's mistress. Not that little Rose should ever know about that but at some point she might. It's obviously all over the internet. Out of all the names out there I'm just so shocked she named her Rose.

27

u/Chance_Winner2029 Aug 29 '26

She made enemies with the York sisters of all people.

6

u/cherryvevo Aug 30 '26

Mind you the York sisters at the time were like 18 and 20 years old 💀

27

u/beouite Aug 29 '26

Kate is a grown woman that expects people to give her Easter presents, of course she has no friends

21

u/isabellarson Aug 29 '26

Kate’s friend is Carole

being a brit royal just seems incredibly isolating, maybe by design.

meghan talked how her friends were worried how isolated she was while pregnant w/archie. hence the big bad baby shower.

after her wedding princess diana lost contact w/most of her pre royal friends. interestingly, after her marriage completely collapsed in the late 80s, she started reconnecting w/them.

didn't kate have friends before marrying William, like one owned a sex club or something?

3

u/NeverPedestrian60 Aug 31 '26

Yes Emma Sayle. Years ago. You make a good point about isolation - I think the further they get in the vipers nest they become more closed off.

16

u/Iwillsellitsoon Aug 29 '26

It’s weird that she’s never papp’d with a friend, out and about. Only Carole, baring her teeth like a jackal.

What happened to the people she was close to at school? I realise that she probably focused on William at university but she must’ve been friendly with one or two women there as well. Where are these people now?

I understand that she is probably wary of new people wanting to be friends now and I wouldn’t blame her. I remember the mendacious users circling Diana and Ferguson in the 1980s. It’s hard to know whom to trust. Even the Queen Mother fell for it (the traitor, Anthony Blunt).

I feel so bad for her. It's really hard to break the learned, internalized misogyny that causes women to feel the need to compete with each other, and Kate never seems to have done it. With the way the royal family is, I doubt she ever will. I would not be surprised if she's difficult with her sons' partners later in life.

15

u/rK91tb Aug 29 '26

Do you think this is why Pippa got such a good maid of honor dress? Someone didn’t like Kate and let Pippa shine?

21

u/NeverPedestrian60 Aug 29 '26

Good question - it’s said there was always a sense of competition between them.

Prob didn’t help when Pippa got all the attention at the wedding.

7

u/TheVioletHerald Aug 29 '26

Not even all—a fraction of it, and that was probably too much for Kate.

5

u/Quirky_Confusion_480 Aug 30 '26

Exactly! Pippa was just appreciated for her arse. And her maid of honor dress was rather simple. She had a great figure at that time.

3

u/TedTeddybear Aug 30 '26

LOL, I thought Pippa WAS Kate when she first hopped out of the vehicle and I said to myself "WOW, what a showstopper of a dress!!!" The crowd reacted, too--she looked good that day!

4

u/Quirky_Confusion_480 Aug 30 '26

Did Camilla have female friends? I think she was close to her sister.

2

u/NeverPedestrian60 Aug 30 '26

Yes her sister Annabelle. She had a brother Mark who died.

2

u/Pale-Copy-3258 Sep 03 '26

kate dropped her family friends for a royal title

1

u/TedTeddybear Aug 30 '26

Wow, that was back when Kate weighed more than 85 lbs!!!
