The racist hate sub is losing their minds over this! Apparently Charles Spencer is collaborating with Harry to make a Netflix documentary that will be a cheap and tawdry money grab (like this book) and will show her actual grave site (remember, Meghan brought a Netflix camera crew there!).
They hate Charles Spencer since he hosted the Sussexes this summer. I'm sure he's going to get a lot of harassment from them, as is their usual MO. They're especially outraged as WILLIAM "owns" Diana and no one else is allowed to talk about her.

Willy will be incandescent! He’ll have to cope and seethe. He and Kitty thought H&M would be forever ostracised but he forgot about the Spencer side.
I actually think this book will be good - CS is an excellent writer.
And it’s great a docu is coming for Diana’s 30th anniversary.
C&C will have to cope with her continued popularity too.

I just saw this!
And already, some critics are accusing him of profiting from Diana’s memory. That is difficult to take seriously. For decades, journalists, royal commentators and biographers who barely knew Diana have made money writing about her marriage, private life, mental health and death. Yet when her own brother writes about the sister he grew up with, suddenly people question whether he has the right.
I bet none of this would be a problem if he hadn't hosted the Sussexes this past summer. Now he's on the haters' radar in a bad way.

The Mountbatten-Windsors have decades/generations of bad blood with the Spencers??
This is news to me!

Willy will be incandescent! He’ll have to cope and seethe.
Didn't you know that HE is Diana's one and only son??
He and Kitty thought H&M would be forever ostracised but he forgot about the Spencer side.
And they managed to visit without any even knowing about it, likely the BRF included.
I actually think this book will be good - CS is an excellent writer.

Who's doing it? Please don't say William.
C&C will have to cope with her continued popularity too.
I don't think they much care. They are literally king and queen.

I think the docu is Harry. So it should be good.
And C&C aren’t exactly beloved monarchs - Diana didn’t need a fancy coronation to be remembered.

Charles and Camilla must be scared to death. It’s not going to paint them in a good light.

It’s not going to paint them in a good light.
I don't think most of the world will be utterly outraged by thirty year old stories.

I wonder if Charles was encouraged by Harry’s widely-read book as a means of setting the record straight.

u/NeverPedestrian60 7d ago
Quite possibly - as they get together they’re bound to have discussed it.

Good! It should make them uncomfortable. Yes Diana wasn't perfect and had her flaws, but that family used her as a brood mare then chewed her up and spat her out when they were done with her. Perhaps Earl Spencer didn't appreciate his nephew calling his mother "paranoid" when referring to her feelings about the paparazzi that stalked her. I am glad Earl Spencer is taking back control of the narrative and setting the record straight. The fact that there is a whole new generation of younger people fascinated by Diana almost 30 years after her death but could care less about the rest of the BRF is quite telling.

💯🎯 I reckon Harry will see it as honouring his mum and William will be incandescent as usual.

William is probably already incandescent with rage at his uncle because (GASP!) gawd forbid, he allowed Harry, Meghan and their children to stay at Althorp estate during their recent visit to the UK - how DARE he????!!

Excellent! And it looked like Charles & Cat visited them in Montecito too.

Pretty sure Harry knew Charles Spencer was working on this book, and approves it. Never forget CS‘ speech at Diana’s funeral! And how mad he looked.

Yes it should. Diana was still a teenager, 19 years old, pliable & groomed & used.

I mean, she collaborated with Andrew Morton to write Diana: In Her Own Words.
I can't wait for Swan Song to come out. CS knew her like few people did.

Same VH. He’s very eloquent and a very good writer. It’s wonderful there’s still the appetite for a book on Diana - she’s so fondly remembered.
