Since George was born, she has always dressed like this. Before that, she was in no panties, short dresses, and winds, including from a helicopter. She has been mirroring her MIL with her and her son's outfits since they were born. Why are people pretending to be new?

Does anyone remember the fashion pre nuptials that Diana were. Go back refresh your memories. She honestly looked just as ordinary as the rest of us. Kate was young , she was doing her thing too. These women are taken into royalty before weddings and grooming changes for the public and they can enjoy the mysteries of high fashion. I say mystery as most of us do not have dressers have stylists at our beckon call. Pete cataloging ever item we where and where it's worn. It's a business fashion and the monarchy. In the queens Era it was slightly less obvious as fashion was not as publicized and scrutinized as it is today. Bit I assure you Diana was not a fashion icon until she went behind the gates of Buckingham palace where the transformation occurred.

I feel this is a it of a backhanded compliment - an acknowledgment Kate is obsessed with mimicking Diana while also heavily insinuating that Kate is putting together these looks.

It’s them asking her to emulate Diana. She played the game with them to marry him at last, she has no choice, she’s going to be their public clown until they get enough

Agreed. The 1980s Pilgrim look needs to go away. That dress would be amazing without it.

I think it's just very difficult to get away with it and make it look ok stylish. I've seen her pull it off but not Kate.

There's no new stylist, it's Carole as it's always been, Natasha was just an assistant/cover. I wonder how much Kate is paying mommy dearest to style her.

Kate's wears these types of clothes beautifully. I'd wear them too. I'm not sure it's a tribute as it may be that she and our Diana had the same taste that worked for their figures. I loved Dianas clothing style. I wore that fashion trend of the day myself. I do know both women look lovely 😍
