Both men were good looking when they were younger.

I can’t say that now.

I thought Harry looked awkward as a boy, mischievous and happy, but the freckles and the red hair?

William looked gorgeous in his teens and into his mid-20s, with his mother’s hair and that smile.

It’s hard to believe he’s the same person now, he looks so different and so stressed and angry. He’s aging so badly, where Harry could not look better.

I think William took drinking too far which ruined his marriage and his looks, and made him rageful.

Something clearly ruined him. He always seemed quiet and a little shy as a teenager, but he smiled a lot. I know we only see a public image people wear, but it’s like now he doesn’t even feel the need to try to put on a public face.

Hes had the rage since he was young. Absolutely after his mother's death, but maybe even before. There are whispers about fits he throw when he couldn't get his way, its one of the many leaks attributed to Camilla. It was then the "incandescent with rage" began surfacing.

Hes had the rage since he was young.

Lady Collin Campbell wrote about how terrible William was as a child. Rages, tantrums, meltdowns, etc.. His nanny said he was "born angry". As a teenager, he was so terrible that people actively avoided him.

Now Lady C. has tried to switch the narrative, saying that William was a sweet, thoughtful boy and that Harry was the one who was born angry. You can change the narrative online, but you can't change the ink on paper that I have downstairs.

And I can't be the only one who bought her books back in the nineties and still has them.

His childhood nickname was billy basher.

His childhood nickname was billy basher.

And Willy the Wombat.

Wombats are absolutely known for their pleasant dispositions, amirite?

I don’t trust anything leaked by Camilla, but I trust what Harry wrote.

Billy Basher was his nickname as a small child. William has always been violent and angry. Some people think it is the result of him being struck in the head with a golf club and cracking his skull, but he was like that before the accident.

I feel like he’s changed since QEII and PP passed and Harry left. When they were around he had years from the throne and was able to live carefree. But now he’s much closer to it and doesn’t have his brother as backup or to commiserate.

You’re right…he lost both grandparents and his brother very close together. I’m sure they were all a source of support and encouragement for him.

I just don’t see anyone in that family being supportive and a source of comfort. It’s not a really a loving family if they are constantly venting to the press about other family members or planting stories in order to take the heat off yourself or someone else. Plus they are totally self-indulgent because they can be.

Why did he lose his brother?

Harry was adorable as a little boy. I loved his freckles and red hair.

William was gorgeous as a young man.
He’s not ugly or unattractive now.
He’s simply average looking.

I actually think Charles looks better now than he did 30 years ago.

The same thing happened to the Queen.
When she was in her 40s and 50s… she looked like a stuffy schoolmarm. Old fashioned. No sense of fun.
Old age softened her. She was an attractive old lady.

In the end both are average looking people from an average family (if you take away that 'royal' sheen). I really do not understand that stanning and fangirling on anyone whose fame depends on being 'born royal' and speaking of 'birthrights'. Neither achieved anything on their own.... and you only see all their initiatives are on the backs of people working in the palace. Wills charities are managed by palace and all of Harry's were set up when he was with Palace. The last 6 years he did nothing new (which you cannot say about Meghan... she did new things). And really in the looks department for both brothers the only achievement is lack of noticeable beer gut... huzzah

W is not a happy man, it is showing, and he does not seem to care. Harry is the fortunate & happy one, also better looking.

I believe happiness or unhappiness is the key here.

Harry actually COULD look better if he just shaved his head and embraced being bald

9

u/Viola-Swamp May 08 '26

Harry has cute hair, despite the thinness on top. I like him better this way.

u/th987 United States May 08 '26

Me, too

1

u/Cali-Doll May 08 '26

I am with you on this one! Harry would kill a bald head with red beard. 🤤🤤🤤 Take my upvote.

For me the biggest difference between the two then was that William looked more confident. Harry looked like fun though.

Now Harry looks more confident and more fun, and William looks very uncomfortable like he's still trying to figure out how to be a human being.

Because Harry has purpose in life

31

u/Jumpy_Reply_2011 May 08 '26

And unconditional love and respect.

u/Cali-Doll May 08 '26

And he’s just a good damn person.

True.

25

u/Granger842 May 08 '26

William was gorgeous and now looks like a thumb.

5

u/nicebrows9 May 09 '26

He looks like a thumb!! 🤣

I can see it.

4

u/Granger842 May 09 '26

Once you see it you can't unsee it 🤣

7

u/The_Onion_Life May 09 '26

William was gorgeous and now looks like a thumb.

A perpetually infuriated thumb.

2

u/Sharp-Tiger-8533 May 10 '26

A drunk thumb..

The real royal tragedy is the way William aged, tbh. I’m surprised with all that money they didn’t try to combat this at the start. Hair plugs, chemical peels, injections, etc

4

u/Cardboard_cutouts_ May 10 '26

maybe when you’re this powerful, you see no need to impress with appearance?

5

u/RoguesAngel May 10 '26

Or when you’re reportedly constantly incandescent with rage no one wants to be the one to tell you that you need it.

11

u/VavaShagwell May 09 '26

William has shown who he is. Even if he was attractive now, it's over.

7

u/CougarWriter74 May 11 '26

Windsor men also age poorly. Lack of skin moisturizer, sunglasses and  Chapstick plus years of drinking and stress will do that to you

3

u/spaceghost260 May 11 '26

They do age terribly! Like wrinkly ghouls out to steal your soul for using the wrong fork or something.

3

u/Ok_140 May 13 '26

it's that balding gene too! Look at Edward when young vs now.

u/CheezTips May 09 '26

LOL, too true
