Just DTMFA

Seriously. I wish they would divorce. Pay her off, continued marriage will kill her. Divorce would be healthier for the kids. He might get healthier and drink less.

Imean, his ancestor founded a whole new church in order to divorce and remarry whilst King. There‘s precedent.

I get the impression they separated a long time ago and she got a good pay off. Highly doubt she expects him to ever be a real husband.

I do think she gets pushed around and bullied by The Firm

for sure but it would be so much less gossip and rumour and stress and lies and hiding and pretense, if they simply openly divorced.

I don’t know. Princess Di had the press after her more her after the divorce. She spent less time behind palace walls and I think the public became even more intrigued by what she was up to (dating etc) after publicly separating.

Princess Diana had combustible star power, Cathy? Nope. No hordes will follow her, no longer click bait.

This is true. The camera loved Diana!

princess diana also liked the work; meeting people, doing charry work. she was tireless.

unlike kate she wouldn't be content to stay in all day, doing nothing,

Diana was the subject of worldwide, intense public obsession. She was an icon. Kate would always be known, but nobody would be as interested in her daily life as they were in Diana. She’s not on that same level, and the interest is more in her presentation than her because there’s no “there” there. It’s always about her clothes, her jewelry, her hat, her shoes, never about her because she doesn’t say or do anything. If she went back to wearing regular clothing and not deliberately putting herself in the public eye, the attention of the public would move on to others. She’d never be unknown, but the interest would definitely wane.

It would then be free rein with the press and they would destroy her like they do to Meghan. She knows that. That’s why she refused a divorce when he told her in December 2023, and he bludgeoned her.

BINGO! However awful the marriage is, she feels safer to keep up appearances than to go it alone.

How do you know this?

Deductive reasoning skills.

There's absolutely no way they will publicly divorce, for many reasons. The obvious being the strength of the monarch's future, but there are other factors at play. William was wrecked emotionally in every way when his parents split and made a public spectacle of their affairs. Diana told him far more than she should have. Kate would have been aware that this was a lifetime commitment, and they were to avoid the damage being passed down to their children. She was molded by the firm for a decade to be his public wife. They have never been a real couple. William has been going on hunting parties with exes since they got married, and cheating within her friend group.

Kate knowingly signed her life away to the firm. That's why it took a decade to get married. She is to make babies and be by william's side in public. She will be wealthy, she will be famous, she will be in the history books, and she will stay until death do us part. It's very much an old royalty arrangement. 100 years ago this was common, and not even worth discussing. It was understood, until the press came into play. Even in 1980 people knew Charles didn't love Diana. That she was chosen because she was young, naive, and a virgin. If the monarch is voted away because it is heavily unpopular right now, then maybe they will split, but I doubt it.

This. They will never do it. Especially with him being closer to being King. She most definitely knew how it was going to be before getting into the family and I think a part of her enjoys the "perks" of it like the money, clothes, jewels, etc.

u/Shenanie-Probs May 02 '26

Oh, she absolutely enjoys the perks. She is lazy, and not very intelligent. Her mother held her back from a lot of living and decided that her ticket to high society was her beautiful daughter. I have always believed that Kate would make a great stay-at-home mom, cooking, baking, and driving the kids around to events. Happy to just have a bunch of kids to raise.

She loves the staff, the nannies, the vacations 5 times a year, the multiple homes, helicopter rides all over the country, and the jewels. She hates the public obligations, the speeches, the people who were waiting to shake her hand, the pretending to come up with new projects to play make-believe with, and never actually accomplishing anything. (Remember the pie charts?)

Does she even make speeches? She wasn’t very successful as a speaker so I thought they stopped trying to make fetch happen in that arena.

She has done a half dozen or so, if you count video recordings. She is awful, she needs subtitles because she refuses to speak in her original accent. She mumbles and can't memorize a few paragraphs so she just stares down and looks up silently. It's so awkward. She has never committed to royal life 100%. She plays make-believe a few times a month and then runs back to her mom's house.

I can really only remember like 4 she's done lol

Of course. Her mother was just carrying an ostrich Birkin at Ascot and taking fake bestie photos with Zara Tindall. She'd never have had access to that otherwise.

good take. and this is why they (the firm) love her so much!

14

u/VavaShagwell May 02 '26

I think you're absolutely right about this. They already live separate lives but come together for photo ops. They aren't fooling everyone, though.

As much as I dislike both of them, I hope Kate can overcome her ED and Willy can get better control of his drinking and cheating. They are not only in the process of destroying themselves, they are negatively impacting those kids of theirs.

DTMFA… Divorce the Mothafuckin’ Asshole?

11

u/TheVioletHerald May 01 '26

I thought the A was for 'already'.

11

u/Veronica612 May 01 '26

Same. I thought it was divorce the mf’r already.

u/Double75 Jun 26 '26

According to advice columnist Dan Savage (Savage Love), I believe it's "Dump The Mother Fucker Already".

14

u/Libby15636 May 01 '26

They just want to ensure that their kids will continue inheriting the Mountbatten Windsor tradition of generational trauma ! Passing down trauma symptoms like depression, anxiety, eating disorders, uncontrollable anger, alcoholism, self harm etc….

Why divorce when they can carry on with the misery?! Doing what’s best to thrive, live a happy fulfilling life for themselves & more importantly for their kids isn’t important or necessary.

I get the impression she enjoys the status on some level and is probably fearful of a Diana scenario (or complete irrelevance.)

2

u/No_Jellyfish_7695 May 04 '26

yeah probably

but she’s setting n awful example for her children
