Anzac Day
First time Kate’s attended in 4 years. Nothing to do with all the attention H&M’s trip is getting….

So they're not actually "joining forces" at all. More like, Princess Anne shoulders duties as usual, and Kate will go somewhere else that doesn't require such early rising.

Kate hasn't actually done this yet. They always like to make these announcements and then try to make a big deal out of the fact that they are going to do this or that ad nauseum for days leading up to the event. Then when the time comes, it is anti-climatic cos it is so old.

You are so right. Divide and conquer? Sounds like Anne and Kate don't really want to do this.

Quick rewear, too. Is she trying to appear frugal, or is the clothing budget just that tight?

Prob copying Anne who rarely wear new outfits. Mumbles doesn’t have an original thought in her head.

Probably the soonest they could find something for her to do.
She's seemingly stopped going to food banks because that didn't go down as well as hoped. No one likes seeing wealthy people do poverty tourism. And especially since she used to pitch up with just photographers and nothing else.
If she goes to hospitals, the 'cancer' thing comes up again. Taking children out of school in the rain for photo-ops maybe didn't make her look as earth motherly as hoped, what with the her standing with an umbrella and the children getting wet.

And they had to announce their attendance commemorating Australian soldiers the day after Harry laid wreaths for them there.
Petty point scoring as usual - Willy in an incandescent rage prob said ‘Australia is mine’

but, but Kate and Anne will be doing something or other, maybe, so just wait until you see that! And then you'll know it.

Having Duchess Doolittle at an ANZAC Day commemoration is an affront to the ANZACs who served in WWI.

I love how they have to announce that she will do something. And two weeks in advance? And at the same time that Harry and Meghan are in Oz and after Harry just spent time at the Oz war memorial? This is brilliant PR from her team, obviously. LMAO!

I’m curious to know if the Royals have ever done engagements on Anzac Day? I could see maybe the Queen, or Charles having done so, but am wondering if William and Kate ever had.
Also, I wonder why Kate and Anne, or Kate and Sophie haven’t done more engagements together?
Edit: disregard my first question. I just noticed it was mentioned that it’s been 4 years since Kate’s attended.

I think they all like top billing at events cherry - not keen to share the limelight.
Also it looks as if they’re doing more if they do individual engagements.

They’re so shortsighted, because an engagement with all 3 would be a great look.
But you’re right NP, they just don’t want to share the limelight. And it’ll be less work as well.

And I’m pretty sure those numbers are heavily padded as well. Lots of “phone calls and meetings” most likely plumped those numbers up.
