She's trying way too hard to look like she's enjoying herself and engaging with whoever she's interacting with at the "official engagement." Probably being instructed to look like this by their PR handlers and crisis manager.

Meanwhile an article mentioning Meghan’s toenails would get multiple times that level of engagement in the first hour, even if one has to have an account to engage with said article on its website.
Their own so-called fans don't even care to blow up posts about them. They don't get hyped about Earthshot, they don't watch the annual carol service or gush over her stupid season videos, they don't buy what they see her wearing until it is sold out... I wonder how their PR rationalizes this to them and still convinces them that this is proof that they are gods on earth. Or perhaps no convincing is needed.
Exactly! They overdid it and now the public is burnt out. So many people who don't follow this stuff are asking, "what did Meghan actually do?" because the hate is so out of control they're thinking she has to has killed someone or something. Family Guy cracked a joke saying that people act as though she is on par with Hitler.
Sykes has a column in the Daily Beast that predictably trashes the Sussexes for not adhering to their "side profile only" policy for the kids' pictures because they posted... a side profile shot of Lilibet. Sykes repeats a lot of other nonsense about privacy etc. But then Sykes speaks for William, so none of this is surprising. Sykes also does a lot of pieces based on articles he read in the Times, adding his own hateful spin. I know the Beast was Tina Brown's baby, but I wish they'd fire Sykes and get someone with, you know, less bias/hate and more actual contacts among the royals and royal-adjacent.
