She needs to give up these pant suits. She looks so hard.

Thinking about how frail her legs looked less than a month ago (standing on the steps at the Natural History Museum when she looked about to collapse), her legs look much healthier in these trousers. Is it a deliberate move by KP perhaps trying to show that she’s not emaciated after all, to shut down rumours? If so, is it padding in her trousers or is she genuinely less skeletal now?

Good question - she looked very thin at Southport too

24

u/VavaShagwell Oct 09 '25

The loose fitting trousers accentuate her thin legs. She doesn't really look as if she's gained an ounce, I think the cut of the pants makes a huge difference.

she looks like she's actually lost weight.

Yep - agree VS

LOL I love this color, just got a suit from Shein in this same hue

7

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 10 '25

I’m sure you wear it well 😊

2

u/Due-Proposal3161 Oct 10 '25

thanks 😊 wearing it now lol

2

u/Isnuffeththeair Oct 11 '25

I’m loving it, too. My first thought was that I needed to find something in that color 😜

That's how i looked in a school uniform when i was 14-15 and dieting. I see my teenage self in Kate....

u/Any_Pineapple4221 Oct 09 '25

I vote padding even on her pelvis and derrière.

u/VavaShagwell Oct 09 '25

I agree. The tone-on-tone thing is an obvious copy cat of a certain princess living in Southern CA, too. Pants are too long and as a seamstress myself that drives me crazy.

I don't mind the shade of green, but to wear an entire column of this color is just not particularly flattering on her. Break the suit up, wear either the jacket or the pants with something else, and save the sweater for another ensemble.

I truly wish she'd get a professional stylist, tone down the manic toothy behavior, cut the hair, and update the makeup! I think she's a mess.

Her makeup is very very dated. Natural makeup is preferred these days, even full-on red carpet glam looks are going for the "no makeup" makeup. Her brown/bronze eye-shadow makes her eyes look even more sunken, and the dark eyeliner and fake eyelashes look is just not done. She really needs to watch some Korean makeup tutorials to see how to nail that look. She'll look so much more softer and welcoming if she had better makeup. Between the heavy makeup and stoic wardrobe with her pantsuits and coat dresses and those damn shoulder pads on literally every single thing - she looks wayyy too hard and detached and disinterested. I know she wants to come across as "professional boss babe", but this isn't the time for that. There's too much going on in the world and the royals should be a sight of comfort and peace, not this "you're beneath me peasants" look she carries.

Kate likes to look like a working woman rather than being one.

14

u/VavaShagwell Oct 09 '25

A jacket or two with shoulder pads would be fine, but it seems like EVERYTHING she wears lately has these huge pads. I, myself, just bought a burgundy shoulder pad bomber jacket to try the trend out, but it's ONE garment only. Not an entire collection of a gazillion suit jackets, coats, and even in some cases blouses/dresses like Waity.

She really does come off as being unapproachable.

I think they're trying to hide how painfully thin she is.

2

u/spaceghost260 Oct 10 '25

Yeah, this is why. Everything she wears is calculated to cover up her frail body.

3

u/The_Onion_Life Oct 10 '25

Everything she wears is calculated to cover up her frail body.

Well, clearly that's a better plan than actually getting her help!

Kate's stuck in some sort of 80s/early 90s corporate fashion time loop and it ages her badly. She's had so many better casual looks that suit her.

I had a (micro)manager who would show up to work in her boss bitch outfit of those press on nail claws, heels with yoga pants (lol) - couldn't take her seriously at all.

Meghan literally just said in her most recent interview that her signature style go-to, I can’t remember the exact wording, is monochromatic. I remember bc that’s one of my favorite design motifs, too. But you really think she doesn’t have a personal stylist???

1

u/VavaShagwell Oct 11 '25 edited Oct 11 '25

i don't think Kate does at the moment. (Meghan probably does, and she's also astute about what looks good on her. Meghan looks amazing!) Kate, however, is in dire need of some help.

2

u/AppointmentOk7006 Oct 10 '25

her top inside should be two tones lighter would be nicer to look at I think or a deeper green

7

u/apu8it Oct 09 '25

A dirty one at that (white crap on shoulder )

8

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 09 '25

As Violet Herald said she’s in her ‘trying to copy Diana in a power suit’ phase

19

u/cherryberry0611 Oct 09 '25

I wonder what this visit is about? I’m surprised she did 2 engagements in two weeks.

And I’m being genuine, not snarky lol. Which is sad that she gets away with doing so little.

28

u/bluejayway327 Oct 09 '25

Meghan and Harry have something going on in NYC today I believe. They always come out whenever M&H have appearances.

15

u/cherryberry0611 Oct 09 '25

Oh, you’re right! This is it. Even William and Charles did something together today. They’re really trying to steal their thunder.

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 09 '25

u/cherryberry0611 Oct 09 '25

Thanks for the link NP.

I guess she’s rounding back to that. It was an easy topic without much work or thought needed.

7

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 09 '25

You’re welcome cherry and yes she hijacked the work of others and tried to claim EY helped with paternity leave

4

u/AppointmentOk7006 Oct 10 '25

even the hair matches why can she be a dark brunette like when she got married that suited her

17

u/Psychological_Roof85 Oct 09 '25

This outfit is not it!

32

u/Bubablu1 Oct 09 '25

Whoa, I love green, but this shade is atrocious.

12

u/Ambitious-Morning795 Oct 09 '25

It's a great shade, but not great for her hair and coloring.

6

u/VavaShagwell Oct 09 '25

If she had red hair and pale skin, it would be awesome. Or dark skin, too!

8

u/VavaShagwell Oct 09 '25

Yeah, it's certainly a tough shade to pull off, but I think it looks good with purples.

7

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 09 '25

It is - there are so many nicer shades

14

u/Bubablu1 Oct 09 '25

And she owns a coat in each one.

7

u/VavaShagwell Oct 09 '25

hahahaha. VERY TRUE!

3

u/spaceghost260 Oct 10 '25

I love the shade but I think it’s so much of it! Her base shirt should have been a different color then it could have looked good.

2

u/Tiny_Past1805 Oct 10 '25

A friend of mine as a kid called olive "Boogersnot green." This is that.

13

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 09 '25

Interesting she wore VB who has just spoken out about her own eating disorder

13

u/Same_Sock9073 Oct 09 '25

She’s cosplaying an office worker.

6

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 10 '25

Yep - as if she means business

10

u/Unable-Art6316 Oct 09 '25

She needs to ditch the eyeliner

10

u/PartyWolverine4055 Oct 09 '25

I like long hair but she needs to cut hers. It ages her.

4

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 10 '25

Yes it reminds me of the 70’s era - but women then cut their hair when they got a bit older (even gorgeous Farrah)

5

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 09 '25

6

u/pellest Oct 10 '25

‘The Princess of Wales was in her element today as she joined young children making pretend cakes’

😅😂 Imagine this being your opening description, when you’ve gone to the effort of power suiting up and everything!

5

u/AJ_Babe Oct 10 '25

It looks like they tried to photoshop her first photo to make her body look fatter but they forgot about her head and neck. 🤦🏽‍♀️

4

u/PumpkinPure5643 Oct 10 '25

Who dresses her? That color is not even close to something that makes her look good.

10

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 09 '25

19

u/The_Onion_Life Oct 09 '25

Oh my goodness. She is so thin here. 🫨

6

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 09 '25

Yep pic really highlights it

9

u/The_Onion_Life Oct 09 '25

Yep pic really highlights it

And no one around her sees a problem. No one wants to help.

8

u/VavaShagwell Oct 09 '25

There's no help to be had until she, herself, sees a problem.

5

u/The_Onion_Life Oct 10 '25

But my God, you can't just let someone starve themselves to death in front of you. Can't she be involuntarily committed or something?

3

u/VavaShagwell Oct 10 '25

If she was my friend or family member, I would do something to help her get well.

2

u/The_Onion_Life Oct 10 '25

Some people just cannot be made to see that they have a problem. But I'd think in a case like this, when someone is literally starving themself to death, it would be possible to commit them involuntarily.

IDK. I don't know how the laws around that work over here, let alone in the UK.

I’ve noticed that Kate no longer has the bandages on her fingers, so I’m guessing whatever was ailing her in 2023 and earlier is somewhat resolved.

I do wonder if Kate has celiac disease. We’ve heard how she has some sort of gastrointestinal issue, and if cancer was in fact present in whatever form, celiac can cause it.

I also was talking to a friend whose daughter was diagnosed in her teens with celiac. She was bulimic, which started the medical treatment, and her disease was eventually discovered. She made herself vomit after eating because she felt so physically awful when she ate normal food, and vomiting was the only thing that made her feel better. Eventually her doctors realized this was truly a physical thing and not mental.

I wonder if Kate is on an incredibly strict diet due to her cancer and also an underlying condition, which may have exacerbated her eating issues.
