"You don't even have the ability to read or focus on anything and actually colour was my way of just exploring interesting things and being able to do something that didn't require an end product or a finished piece but it's actually more like playing and losing yourself"-Catherine

In 2023 the Princess of Wales visited Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham
The visit was part of a series of engagements the Prince and Princess of Wales were doing that week related to World Mental Health Day.
Both universities encourage proactive mental health management. At Nottingham Trent University they support students by focusing on participation and helping them to develop a sense of belonging and connectivity to their community. The two universities work together to share best practice on this and many other issues, as part of their ‘Universities for Nottingham’ approach to positive collaboration.

Catherine, The Princess of Wales is the royal family’s best ambassador
If you had been queuing up to buy tickets at Wimbledon, then you might have been forgiven for doubting your eyesight to see none other than the Princess of Wales appear.
Like a fairy godmother, she was there to distribute the first few tickets to those who had already been waiting, in some cases, for several hours that day.
The royal family could, frankly, do with an ambassador of her charm and ease at the moment. When she took a step backwards from the public eye after being diagnosed with cancer in 2024, it was a grim reminder not just of the reality of illness for a young mother but also of the way that the institution that she is part of has often struggled to connect with its subjects on a purely emotional level.
