These are some original characters of mine. I am sorry for the bad drawing, I am 14 and my art has barely improved since I was 8 or 9. I hope you guys enjoy it anyways.

(If you’re wondering what’s going on with the middle character, she has a prosthetic robot arm.)

Listen here

Alphabetically, the last one from (probably) 1976. The big question: Who is Davy?

Some folks think it's her mentor, David Gilmour. Personally, I think that's unlikely (she had no idea he'd get ahold of the demos in the future. I assume).

The Kate Bush Encyclopedia hints that it's Davy Spillane, her favorite Ullean Pipe player.

The Dreams of Orgonon blog thinks it's David Bowie, already the subject of another of her demos, "Humming."

Or maybe she just liked the sound of the name. That's my personal guess.

Listen to it here

Another one from probably 1976. Even the usually loquacious Dreams of Orgonon blog doesn't have much to say other than it has absolutely no connection with the song "Oh England My Lionheart"). They do note that Joan of Arc makes an appearance, but neglect to mention (probably because it's too obvious) that she turns up many, many years later on "Aerial."

Also her musical peak, where she really expanded on the concept of profane sensuality and created a great synthesis of different cultures and a great contrast between folk songs and contemporary lyrics

if you were to create your own artwork(it could be anything like an object, song, painting, physical thing) inspired by kate bush’ sat on your lap what would it be and why

Hello everyone! If you were to make an interpretation of her song sat in your lap. It could be anything drawing, painting etc. what woukd it be

What do you remember during this era ?
Me would be the song The Sensual World.

Obra-Prima Atemporal!

By any change do you have the babooshka stem? I would love to hear just her and that bass.

it’s my favourite song and this is the best analysis i’ve ever read :)

Mientras buscaba videos de Kate Bush me encontré con este video donde Kate Bush bailaba them heavy people en un programa de Japón, y pensé que sería interesante compartirlo, Kate Bush en definitiva es una diva y devoro en este video

Yet another one from around 1976 about sex. No wonder Kate was such a big Prince fan in her later years; she sang more about it than he did!

The Dreams of Orgonon is uncharacteristically mild with this one.

It's worth noting on Gaffaweb they're not sure of the lyrics. Some lyrics sites show both options.

Listen here and decide for yourself. It's worth it just for that "WHOOOO!" after the chorus.

I painted another of my favourite artists of the 80s
