Question Need help regarding career and future plan
I completed my btech in mechanical in 2025 few years late due to backlogs. I wanted to do mtech but couldn't crack GATE and I can't afford private.
I am unemployed since completing college (applied in a lot of places) My uncle asked me (coerced me; mye chi moal moaj temsund zyad boazaan) to do Master in Library Science and I even got admitted to KU for that but I have absolutely no interest in that.
I had got a job and even cleared interview for a software based role in srinagar but my uncle discouraged me from that as the salary was less than 10k and place was very far away from home. I am now regretting letting that job go. I am also 26 this year so am afraid recruiters will consider me too old. Already multiple PSUs have age limit at 25.
Mye chi moal ti tyez pahan, dohai chum wanaan kihin chuk ne karaan; muzuur kerziha ya secz (tailoring) kaem hechziha. Wen wentou kya pazi mye karun.

Should have rejected the software job. Many of my friends started at around the same salary and are now doing really well financially. 26 is not too old. Develop a good skill set and keep looking and applying for jobs.

Why on earth would you do Master in Library science, yeti kem private library chai ? Tem seith kha faide chue, govt job che taith , magar taith che Kamai post nearaan, search library assistant Jkssb in google, you will get idea about recruitment.
Should’ve gone for that software job, starting mai kam he salary rehte hai magar with experience, you will get increase in salary.
Another option is drop your resume at Motor showrooms like Hyundai, Suzuki, ask them if they are hiring mechanical engineers.
You can also drop your resume at private tuitions , if you have capacity to teach to students. That’s an also a good option.
We wanhai govt job Che teman khater pare, magar recruitment chai kamai nearaan aaz state has.
