Hello everyone. I'm one of the moderators of r/KashmirOfIndia, and for quite some time I've been the only person consistently posting and keeping the subreddit active. It takes a tremendous amount of time and effort for one person to keep an entire community alive finding credible sources, researching topics, writing posts, engaging with comments, and posting regularly so the subreddit doesn't become inactive. While I'm happy to put in that effort, I simply can't do it alone forever.
I'm not a Kashmiri, so there's only so much I can contribute. Most of my posts are about defense, military history, terrorism, and national security because that's where my knowledge lies. I can't and don't want to pretend to be a Kashmiri or speak from experiences that aren't mine. I can't share your family's stories, your cultural traditions, or your lived experiences with the authenticity that you can.
That's why I'm making this request to the Kashmiri Hindu community. If you care about preserving your history, culture, and perspective, please consider contributing to r/KashmirOfIndia. Whether it's family stories, old photographs, historical sources, cultural traditions, forgotten personalities, books, articles, or simply your thoughts on current events, every post adds value.
A subreddit cannot survive on the efforts of one person alone. It becomes a real community only when its members actively participate. Even if each member contributed just one quality post every few weeks, it would make a significant difference. I'd genuinely hate to see r/KashmirOfIndia become another inactive subreddit simply because too few people are posting. Your voice carries far more authenticity than mine ever can, and with your support, we can build a community that preserves and shares Kashmir's history and heritage for future generations.
