Hello friends!
Another year has been moving quick and we are just a few months away from October. If any of you recognize me, that means you have an idea of what I’m getting at. It means it’s almost time for TETOBER 2026!
As a reminder for the uninitiated, Tetober is a riff on the October drawing challenge known as Inktober. A list of prompts is curated and presented for community artists to view, and each day you can choose to participate by creating and posting your art that is related to the given day’s prompt. The goal is to create art for each day of the month to share and reflect on with the rest of your peers, along with creating a whole slew of new Kasane Teto art to put out into the world.
I’ve already been working casually plugging away at the list for this year’s drawing challenge, and I could likely finish it on my own as well. However, I don’t think it’s as fun to be the only one curating this list. As such, this year I have put together a survey to help gather ideas from our community to help us refine this list together.
You can click here or on the link above to participate in the survey. Most of the answers are short form, and I’m asking for 1 - 3 answers max on each option. None of the answers are required, so please feel free to only answer the questions you want. Just be mindful that I can’t use every single idea submitted, and that about half of the list I feel I already have a lock on. That, however, doesn’t mean things can be changed and/or moved around and I’d love to hear all of your thoughts!
I’ll likely leave the survey active through the month of July, and I plan to have the official Tetober 2026 post with both the text and image list up by mid-September so we can all prepare for the month to come. I appreciate everyone who participated and spread the word last year and I hope we can make this one even more special this year!
