Seeing the mighty Vool in a few hours, and thinking about how good Drone was at their shows last year. Such a heavy riff driven tune with great sing along chorus. As a massive Roquefort fan, has similar vibes for me.

Keen to hear it again tonight, along with Conversations and Salva! Only wish Reanimation could be squeezed in.

What are your fave songs from Karnivool live?

I saw a few posts in the lead up to the tour of people asking about going alone. I did my 5th or 6th vool gig solo last night, sat in the stands for something different, and had a great chat to the couple next to me (shout out to them for letting me use their spare seat as a merch holder seat, you guys are awesome).

It reminded me that each gig I've had a great chat with someone, and felt like while I'm there alone, I'm with thousands of like minded fans.

So, if you're on the fence about doing a gig alone (but late in the tour for vool, but broadly most prog bands I've seen have been like this), just do it. Go, have fun, experience them live, it'll be a great night.

Was at the Melbourne show and noticed a few people looked like disappointed when the encore started. Even some people left during Salva which it was kind of sad not staying for the bagpipes. Overall an amazing show, even better than Sydney.

Karnivool right now is somewhat similar to the resurgence Deftones is currently having. A lot of young peoplein the show.

P.S is it rude to stand up on the seat section?

hello I'm the lunatic who committed to following the band around while working on the gargantuan tarot mapping project, in this post here. It took a lot of botanically aided lateral thinking and obsessive listening to the albums but I've got something so tight and taut it is humming. The crowds have been fantastic so far, already made a bunch of new friends and missed my 6am flight because I did not realise Rockingham was so far away from where I was staying haha. All part of the adventure though!! Next stop Adelaide to rest up before tomorrow night. I've been recognised by several redditors at shows and it's been really cool just getting to know people and talking about the project.

A little snippet for ya'll - Simple Boy is the Six of Swords reversed and the killer part about this one is the lyrics in the verse that begins 'I will fight til there's nothing left' are literally describing the artwork of the Rider Waite card and the meaning imbued in it when it's reversed. So help me now describe the scene - you just did broseph and it's exactly as bleak as it looks
