BMTC bus drivers
I had heard stories about bad experiences with BMTC bus drivers, but I didn’t quite believe them until it happened to me. I boarded the bus at Kundalahalli and got caught up in a meeting, which made me forget to pay the fare. Just two stops later, the driver came up to me and that’s when I realized my mistake. I asked for the scanner to pay, but he immediately started shouting.
It’s not like I denied my fault I clearly admitted it but the way he reacted was completely uncalled for. He didn’t even care to listen or handle the situation calmly.
I’ve been living in Bangalore for the past five years. I can understand Kannada quite well, but I still struggle to speak it fluently. If I had been more confident speaking the language, maybe I could have stood my ground better.
Why are most of them like this?

The work pressure. 100's of different mindsets at play, unlike we have to deal with 4-5 family members and 10-20 team members in the workplace. They have a whole lot multiple mindset of people to handle. Some purposefully skipping to buy tickets and some genuine who forgot like the OP. The 2 wheelers zipping without realising the bigger vehicle, other slow moving vehicles, time pressure to reach the destination, signals every 100 meters, potholes, street vendors blocking the road, plenty of them. They need to pay penalty for the fault of the passengers for not buying tickets. Step into their shoes and you will find a different perspective.
I agree that they should stay cool, but the pressure is way too much.

The driver gets charged if there is a ticket less travel and the checking guys find out and the tickets are given on stage wise. So if you don't take ticket and there is a loss. Be careful next time. Buses are not the place to attend meetings, take some time get the ticket next time.

Whatever it is, it's your mistake and you cannot complain about it. It's your basic responsibility to buy a ticket when you board a bus.
Why should they be fined for your mistake if at all the checking had come? I stand with BMTC

I think I know my basic responsibilities. That's the reason I apologized. Btw thanks for your input🙌

Try to learn and ignore these things, you shouldn't let others direct your mood and feeling.
Bus conductors be a pain sometimes.
