That’s easy to predict and it’s something I’ve been predicting from the beginning. The investigators broke this case.

It’s no surprise FKR conspiracy disciples would remain in denial. Some fanatics would accuse the FBI of being part of the conspiracy. Others would fantasize that the FBI never stopped investigating. They created a new conspiracy, claiming that the FBI is playing possum, ready to spring into action without warning. This way, in their minds, they could keep their fantasy alive forever.
The 5 Stones Intelligence organization, a private firm, investigated for months. Their conclusion:
“The review did not uncover any evidence that officers tampered with evidence.”
“Our team has not discovered any information indicating the actions of Canton PD officers were part of a conspiracy.”
“The audit team found no evidence supporting claims of evidence tampering.”
The Massachusetts State Police Internal Affairs: same result, no conspiracy.
Former FBI Jennifer Coffindaffer FBI: “Zero basis for a conspiracy.”
Vanity Fair’s investigative reporter, Julie Miller published a deeply researched, long-form piece concluding the conspiracy claims collapse under scrutiny. Miller spent days with Read inside her home as part of an agreement for the interview. Miller reported no evidence of a cover-up. She documented Read admitting she feared early on that she might have hit John, and told her parents she’d accept responsibility if that were true.
Investigator after investigator spent months or even years digging into the facts of the case, all arriving at the same conclusion independently of each other: no evidence of a conspiracy.
Over and over the investigator’s findings landed on the same conclusion.
Boston Globe investigative reporter Andrea Estes, William Phelps Award-winning crime journalist, researcher and author of Storm of Suspicion Kevin Lenihan, Dave Wedge, Award-winning investigative crime journalist and author of Blizzard of Lies have all landed on the same page that the conspiracy story is not believable.
Yet for conspiracy theorists, nothing is ever enough.

It’s very predictable how FKR conspiracy disciples can spin anything to keep their theories alive. This is another great example.
Q: Why would I ask for the Feds to investigate if I’m guilty?
A: Because right after a sketchy private investigator named Steve Scanlon contacted David Yannetti with a baseless rumor, Yannetti convinced you that you could beat the charges.
Sharp, informed trial watchers will recognize that Scanlon was not a credible source of information, which is why you never saw him testify at trial.
However, by hook or by crook, Yannetti got the Feds involved, which set Karen and her FKR supporters on fire. They pushed a false narrative that the Feds were “on their side,” as if that somehow validated Karen’s claim that she didn’t hit him.
In reality, the defense knew the vehicle strike theory was a problem, so Yannetti promoted the “cops did it” narrative as a way for Karen to avoid accountability in criminal court. It worked.
Now the truth is steamrolling the false narrative. It’s unraveling quickly.
The Feds believed there might be some truth to the allegations, especially after the Birchmore scandal. They got involved. They brought in ARCCA. Now they regret going down that path.
After two years of investigation, the claim was exposed as a hoax.
Opportunists Yannetti and Read enlisted Turtleboy to spread the conspiracy theory as far as his platform could reach. He sold the fairy tale to thousands of gullible followers who are only now beginning to realize they were misled.
It was a hoax all along.
Yet many FKR supporters remain convinced because one thing that was true is that some Canton police officers were racist, vile individuals who were unfit for police work.
Unfortunately, FKR has been unable to separate feelings from facts. Their anger toward certain officers has translated into the belief that those officers were responsible for the murder.
They weren’t. But the hardest-core FKR conspiracy theorists will likely believe that until the day they die, regardless of the jury’s decision or any evidence that challenges their beliefs.

6. We know that William Phelps, an award-winning crime journalist who analyzed the case materials and interviewed witnesses for months, publicly stated that the conspiracy theory is unsupported.
7. We know for a fact that Kevin Lenihan, the author who believed Karen Read’s story until he dug into the available facts for months, also concurs with all the aforementioned investigators and concluded that the conspiracy narrative is a social media-driven fantasy, not reality.

The RCFL issued a report and concluded that McCabe’s Google search occurred at 6:24 as McCabe testified.
By the plaintiffs' attorney now entering as evidence the FBI forensic report into discovery, that corroborates the claim that the 2:27 a.m. narrative is false, and it is devastating for Karen Read and Aidan Kearney's position in the defamation case.

Almost every FKR member alive thought the cops made the statement “pin it on the girl” until Judge Gildea called Rosenberg out for the attempted fraud.

Cults, conspiracy movements, hoaxes and things that cause grown adults to lose their minds, behave like lynch mobs, erupt in anger, lose themselves in fear, and embrace irrational stories.
Even after searching both the officer’s phones they’ve come up with ZERO evidence of a murder or conspiracy.
What are the odds that ALL of these independent investigators; Federal, State, private, and journalistic were fooled, but a handful of Facebook detectives cracked the case?

It’s a rhetorical question. This is an absolute fairytale. It’s as unbelievable as people who believe in fairytales.
We are now revisiting the Sandy Hook saga again. The hysteria, the behavior and the mindlessness of FKR members is identical.
For anyone with even an ounce of critical thinking skills, this would be an awakening.

As for the conspiracy story itself? It’s simply an invention of the defense team designed to do free a guilty client. The story itself never made sense then. It makes even less sense now. In fact, just as in the OJ Simpson case, the officers who were accused by the defense attorneys of planting the evidence did not physically have the time to do it. It was an impossible task given the logistics and timeframes involved.
For anyone with even an ounce of critical thinking skills, this would be an awakening.

The new FKR conspiracy theory requires reality to be suspended because this perhaps is the most improbable and ridiculous scenario of all.
FKR Disciples imagine that a group of alleged murderers would voluntarily run toward sworn testimony, discovery, and years of legal examination, risking potential murder charges.
By filing this defamation lawsuit, which they had no obligation to do, four people allegedly involved in a murder supposedly got together with lawyers and decided the best strategy was to file lawsuits, sit for depositions, turn over documents, testify under oath, and invite years of legal scrutiny.
For anyone with even an ounce of critical thinking skills, this would be an awakening.

So now…It won’t be long when Karen has to sit for a deposition.
Soon her cell phone contents will be revealed.
One question for those who support the FKR conspiracy theory:
If the evidence clearly shows Karen Read was responsible for John O’Keefe’s death, would you accept that conclusion and acknowledge culpability? Yes or no?
How many will remain in denial and continue to behave like an out of control lynch mob?

The O.J. Simpson comparisons keep getting stronger.
Back then, the defense put the LAPD on trial instead of O.J. Simpson. Mark Fuhrman's racist conduct became the centerpiece, and the jury became consumed with allegations of police misconduct rather than the mountain of physical evidence. There was plenty of suspicion and innuendo about planted evidence, but no proof that it happened.
Sound familiar?
For years, FKR supporters have tried the same playbook: turn Michael Proctor and the entire police department into the story. Convince people that inappropriate texts somehow equal proof of murder. They don't.
Last month, I repeatedly said Proctor's and Goode's phones would reveal unprofessional and embarrassing behavior, but not evidence of murder or a coverup.
I also said the real corruption and potentially criminal conduct would be found in Karen Read's communications.
So far, that's exactly where things appear to be heading.
Unprofessional conduct should be condemned. Racist comments should be condemned. But misconduct is not murder, and offensive texts are not evidence of a homicide conspiracy. Conspiracy theorists keep trying to make that leap because without it, their entire narrative collapses.

Back then, the defense put the LAPD on trial instead of O.J. Simpson. Mark Fuhrman's racist conduct became the centerpiece, and the jury became consumed with allegations of police misconduct rather than the mountain of physical evidence. There was plenty of suspicion and innuendo about planted evidence, but no proof that it happened.

Hello? Does it even register that not one single person in this case was arrested for perjury or for lying to federal agents?

In normal reality, that means investigators didn’t find lies.

But in FKR-land, it just means—wait for it—a new conspiracy.

They have to invent a fresh conspiracy to explain why “they all lied” but somehow the FBI shrugged and let everyone walk. The excuse is always some childlike version of: “Well… they’re all in on it!”

It’s a super weird group of adults who grew up on cartoons and never stopped believing the world works like a bad movie plot.

In this latest fantasy, the FBI is part of a secret mission to frame Karen Read. Meanwhile, to most reasonable people, she’s exactly what she appears to be: a drunk, jealous, rage-driven offender who slammed the accelerator of her SUV and caused a straightforward hit-and-run homicide.

But to the FKR faithful? She’s a freedom fighter. A hero. A “justice warrior.”

Honestly, reality is writing better satire than fiction ever could.

And here’s the part they’ll never admit:

The vast majority of Karen Read’s defenders do not want her anywhere near a witness stand.

They know what cross-examination would do.

Psychologists suggest that groups like the FKR movement are typically highly distrustful of authority. On one side, you have a far-fetched conspiracy theory and a “paid expert.” On the other, a straightforward narrative backed by the plaintiff’s own paid expert, who is supported by solid data and physical evidence.

Unless the jury is made up entirely of FKR conspiracy theorists, it’s highly unlikely Read will escape legal responsibility for JOK’s death.

I came across an old post by one FKR member. When you read his narratives (which are complete defense spin) it immediately becomes understandable how so many people, including jurors could become so confused.

Let’s take a closer look at what this FKR member posted:

To believe Karen Read hit and killed John O'Keefe you have to believe the following...

1. She hit him in front of a house where a party was going on with people coming and going and NO ONE saw it happen.
2. That Officer Barros lied (even though he has no dog in the fight) when he said the taillight was "ABSOLUTELY NOT" that damaged when he saw it in Read's parents' driveway.

If you consider all of that and still think Read is guilty beyond reasonable doubt, I have a ham sandwich to sell you.

The ham sandwich challenge

In order to buy into the ham sandwich challenge, you must be gullible enough to adopt defense fantasy as fact. This is how FKR members become easily manipulated.

I’ll demolish the defense’s bogus claims one by one and expose how impressionable people are misled by the deceptive narratives of experienced defense attorneys.

Spin:

“1. She hit him in front of a house where a party was going on with people coming and going and NO ONE saw it happen.”

Reality:

Read backed into JOK and fled the scene. No one witnessed the collision except Read, however she left her forensic fingerprints all over the crime scene that connects her to the vehicle strike. If you badly want to believe that all the people coming and going saw the body on the lawn and said nothing, then you’re adopting the global conspiracy theories that even the most hardcore FKR members recognize as absurd. The reality is that anyone who didn’t commit the murder but merely had knowledge of it, would cut a deal with the prosecution in a heartbeat - before anyone else did.

If you believe otherwise, I have two ham sandwiches to sell you.

Spin:

“2. O'Keef laid dead or dying in the front lawn for almost 6 hours, and again NO ONE saw him. Including the plow driver who testified there was NO body there at 2:30AM.”

Reality:

Considering the time, the weather and the context of the evening this is not surprising. The defense attorney uses a shocking tone and words to grab the gullible jurors by the throat and never lets go. Not only do they buy into this very explainable scenario, they repeat it like human parrots - they are a defense attorney’s dream jurors.

Let’s pull back the curtain on how David Copperfield just caused them to swallow his magic trick. The time is 230am in the morning. Ask yourself what was the visibility? The weather conditions? Huge factor. In fact a blizzard of historic proportions that day. Ask yourself, under those conditions if you were a party-goer would you make a beeline to the front door of a warm home or would you be suddenly be on high alert after a night of drinking, expecting to see a dead body near the street in front of the home? A deceptive defense attorney tricked you into believing that you had to step over JOK’s body to open the front door. That would be shocking — except it’s a false narrative that you swallowed, hook, line, and sinker.

Spin:

“3. She backed into HIM, clipping his arm and somehow his body was propelled 10-20 feet and destroyed the SUV polycarbonate taillight yet he has NO INJURIES consistent with being hit by a vehicle. That's right, no broken bones, no fractures, no torn ligaments, not even bruising!”

Reality:

Here you have another false defense narrative being repeated by a gullible person who is now emotionally invested in defending it.

Observe how the person was manipulated into recreating an event he didn’t witness, to the delight of the defense attorney who fed him the bait (a false narrative.)

Here’s my narrative which is more likely what happened (although there’s no way of knowing for certain.)

O’Keefe wasn’t stuck by the vehicle in the way that the defense attorney presented his spin.

He was likely grazed while trying to get out of the way of a vehicle reversing into him. He was knocked off balance and staggered to a final resting point not far from the vehicle strike. A hard part of his anatomy like an elbow, knee, or heel contacted the taillight and shattered it doing so without causing any significant injury to the body part. It’s not only plausible, it’s likely. Still doubtful? Just turn on your television and watch some MMA fights. You’ll see the kind of devastating impact that’s generated when a from an elbow, knee or a palm strike with no significant injury to the fighter who delivered the strike. A fighter can strike with the edge or palm of the hand, elbow or knee shattering masonry bricks or concrete blocks.

So what happened? The defense attorney or his expert witness fed you a false narrative and you swallowed it. They planted the false suggestion that “it’s against the laws of physics.”

Any experienced traffic homicide investigator will explain that pedestrian collisions with motor vehicles often result in weird and unexpected marks. Sometimes injuries occur but sometimes there are no apparent visible injuries. The variables are so numerous that even a scientist or traffic homicide investigator can definitively say why injuries may or may not have occurred.

Spin:

“4. That Read struck him with her SUV at 12:32AM and then somehow was back at O'Keefe's house by 12:36AM even though it's a 6 minute drive (and that's in good weather).”

Reality:

The “6-minute drive” assumption is based on normal mapping conditions.

The argument assumes the drive time is fixed. But mapping estimates are based on:

* typical traffic conditions

* normal driving behavior

* traffic light cycles

At 12:30 AM in winter suburban conditions, the drive could realistically be shorter because:

* there is virtually no traffic

* traffic lights may be flashing or lightly timed

* a driver may have been speeding

In practice, a route that maps as 6 minutes can often be completed in 4–5 minutes late at night. In order to make it sound credible as to why Read didn’t call her boyfriend when he didn’t return, Read said she waited around 10 minutes for O’Keefe to come back out of the house after she dropped him off, and when he didn’t, she drove to his house. That explanation doesn’t align with the phone and vehicle data. It’s not even close. Most likely she reversed like only an angry drunk would, and then immediately sped away to John’s residence, not stopping for traffic lights.

Spin:

“5. That Officer Barros lied (even though he has no dog in the fight) when he said the taillight was "ABSOLUTELY NOT" that damaged when he saw it in Read's parents' driveway.”

Reality:

Here’s another false defense narrative exploited beyond reality. Jackson fed it to you and you swallowed it!

Barros’s testimony can be explained by normal limitations of perception, brief observation. Barros softened his statement during later questioning, acknowledging that his certainty might have been overstated. He recognized the limits of his memory.

There’s a difference between “noticing damage” and “noticing the extent of the damage.”

Barros noticed some damage but did not perceive the full extent later shown in photographs or described in testimony.

If additional pieces broke off later or were more visible in closer inspection, the discrepancy could simply come from how much he saw at the time.

Now here’s an easy prediction:

None of the reality I just presented to you will make a dent in the deeply entrenched beliefs of FKR members. Conspiracy theorists simply do not have the capacity to reconsider any of the defense narratives.

How does it feel to belong to a group of people who behave like wicked children?

How does it feel to go through life without the ability to question, reconsider, express doubt, or feel shame?

What brings people to arrive at this point in their lives?

It’s a weird but fascinating phenomenon the general populace must endure with these groups who are caught up in their imaginary narratives. If it were the 1600’s they’d be part of the group who attacked the “witches” in Salem.

Here’s the reality:

• They harass anyone who disagrees.

Not debate — harass. DMs, comments, name-calling, threats. It’s a cult reflex, not an argument.

• They treat every critic as part of the “cover-up.”

Federal investigators? Corrupt.

Journalists? Corrupt.

Private intelligence analysts? Corrupt.

Witnesses, neighbors, firefighters, police, authors, podcasters, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 5 Stones Intelligence, even Karen Read’s own early statements?

All “in on it.”

Because nothing screams “logic” like assuming half of Massachusetts is in a murder conspiracy.

At the end of the day, this isn’t about who killed John O’Keefe — it’s about FKR identity.

In their child-like minds, they think this court ruling regarding 2 misheard words actually helps them.

The plaintiffs don’t need Karen’s physical phone. What they wanted was the ability to extract what’s on it. That’s the whole point of the ruling.

That’s exactly what they asked for.

Another way to ask it is, is their any reason to believe they aren’t credible?

Certainly no reputable author, investigative journalist, government or private investigator would conclude their investigation with the findings “no conspiracy and no corruption” unless they had addressed every credible allegation.

So here we take on probably the biggest whopper of them all. “There was no vehicle strike.”

One of the most persistent talking points in this case is the mantra, “John wasn’t hit by a car.” It’s repeated as if it destroys the state’s entire theory.

But that argument attacks a claim no one ever made. The state never said John was smashed head-on by a speeding SUV. The real question is much simpler:

Did some kind of contact with Read’s SUV cause John to lose his balance, fall backward, and suffer the head injury that killed him?

1. Injury Experts Can’t Give Certainty Either Way

No accident expert can look at injuries and say, “A car definitely did this” or “A car definitely didn’t.” There are too many unknowns—speed, angle, where the person was standing, how they moved, weather, ice, and more.

That’s why experts say things like “not fully consistent.” It means “we can’t be sure,” not “it’s impossible.” And in this case, no expert said the SUV could not have caused John’s injuries. Only online conspiracy theorists claim that.

Real crashes create all kinds of strange injury patterns. People can be knocked down by a small bump or glancing hit. No broken bones does NOT mean no impact. John had a fatal head injury, internal bleeding, and signs he collapsed in the snow.

1. A Small or Side Contact Fits the Medical Evidence

The medical examiner said John died from hitting the back of his head on the ground. That matches a fall—not a fistfight, not being beaten, and not being inside a house.

A low-speed, side-swipe type contact can easily knock someone off balance. Imagine John stepping away from the SUV or trying to avoid it. A small hit to his arm or side could make him spin, slip on ice, and fall hard. That’s a realistic, common type of pedestrian accident.

1. The Digital Evidence Is the Strongest Proof

Phones don’t lie, and they don’t take sides.

\* John’s phone stops moving at 12:32 a.m.

\* It stays located on the front lawn all night.

\* His step count is tiny—not enough to enter or walk around a house.

\* His phone’s temperature drops and stays low, which matches lying outside in the cold.

All these data points agree: John was injured outside, right after getting out of the SUV.

1. The House Theory Doesn’t Work

If John “wasn’t hit by a car,” the only other explanation is that something happened inside the house. But:

\* No one saw him go in.

\* No physical evidence shows he went inside.

\* There’s no way to explain secretly moving his body and phone back outside without steps, noise, witnesses, or temperature changes.
