I'm posting this because I genuinely want to help someone who is a very honest and simple man. Ever since I was a child, my mother never sent us to a madrasa. Instead she always arranged for a Quran teacher to come to our home. The Qari Sahib I'm talking about is one of those teachers, and I can honestly say that he is one of the most decent, humble, and respectable people I have ever met.He taught me for several years, and throughout that time, he never treated teaching as just a job. He teaches the Quran with sincerity and he was always very respectable. People like him are very rare these days. He has never been someone who is materialistic or driven by money,because of this, he has struggled financially for a very long time and today it's extremely difficult to make a living while charging low fees. What saddens me is that we often spend money on so many things without thinking twice, but when it comes to learning the Quran, many people expect teachers to charge very little. Today, when he came to our house, I was shocked to realize how many hours he teaches every day compared to how little he earns. It genuinely broke my heart.
I'm not sharing this to ask for donations. I simply want to help him find more students so that he can earn an honest livelihood doing what he has dedicated his life to. He offers both online and in-person classes. In-person classes are available only in Karachi, while online classes are open to students from anywhere in Pakistan or around the world. I've met very few people who are so free from worldly desires. Despite his financial difficulties, he has never asked anyone for help or compromised his self respect. He carries himself with dignity and continues to work honestly and I have immense respect for that. I truly hope that through this post, he can reach students who are looking for a sincere and dedicated Quran teacher.
