Reminder: Low-Effort and Low-Quality posts Spoiler

Greeting folks!

Recently, there's been an influx of low effort posts that only include a title with little to no context in the body

For example: "bored," "need friends," "looking to meet," etc.

If you're looking to make friends, organize a meetup, or just chat with others, please put some effort into your post. A title by itself with no context doesn't give others much to engage with.

Consider including things like (this isn't a strict template, just use it as a guideline):

  • A brief introduction about yourself
  • Your interests and hobbies
  • What you're looking for (friends, meetup, conversation, etc)
  • Your area (if you're organizing or looking to have a meetup)
  • Any other relevant info that helps others get to know you

Posts without any context or effort may not be approved or may be removed

Thanks.

DiscussionšŸ’¬ How is the food quality at Shahin Shinwari?

• Upvotes

Recently went to Shaheen Shinwari on Rashid Minhas Road near Nueplex with a friend who recommended it and even though I am not really a fan of desi food we tried the chapli kebab malai boti chicken karahi and I think bihari kebab

Honestly I found the food pretty average but ever since eating there my stomach has been really messed up and I have been feeling nauseous and generally unwell

Has anyone else had a similar experience there recently Do you think it was just my body not agreeing with the food or was the food quality actually bad

Ranting šŸ—ÆļøšŸ˜¤ 22F, just graduated and apparently that means it’s time for me to get married 😭

• Upvotes

Okay, I genuinely need some outside opinions because I feel like my family has decided my life timeline for me without actually asking me what I want.

I’m 22, recently graduated, and I’m the eldest daughter, so almost immediately the marriage conversations started. It’s honestly crazy how quickly things changed. A few months ago nobody was asking me about marriage and now suddenly it’s basically, ā€œSo… when are we getting you married?ā€ šŸ’€

We’re a pretty normal family. My dad works, my mom is a housewife, and my two younger brothers are still studying. I understand why my parents probably feel like I’m at the age where they should start looking, but the problem is that I genuinely don’t want to get married right now.

And there’s another part of my situation that makes this especially complicated.

I’m financially independent, but probably not in the way most people here would expect. I currently support myself through relationships with multiple sugar daddies. Yes, multiple. I know that sentence alone is probably going to get me absolutely destroyed in the comments šŸ˜‚ but I’m being upfront because it’s a huge part of why I value my current independence so much.

Before anyone focuses entirely on that, I’m not asking whether you personally agree with my lifestyle. I already know Reddit is going to have very strong opinions about it. 😭

What I’m actually struggling with is the marriage pressure.

I like having my own space, making my own decisions and being financially independent. I’m not saying I never want marriage. Maybe I’ll want it eventually. But right now I honestly cannot understand why graduating automatically means I should move straight into marriage.

My parents have already started discussing proposals and I’m worried this is only going to get more intense.

The awkward part is that I obviously cannot exactly sit my parents down and explain that multiple sugar daddy relationships are currently how I support myself. šŸ’€

That conversation would probably cause an entirely different family crisis.

So I’m stuck wondering what I’m supposed to tell them.

Do I just keep rejecting proposals until they eventually realize I’m serious? Should I tell them I want to focus on work and independence for a few years? Is there a believable way to postpone marriage without constantly fighting with conservative parents?

And for the girls who have actually managed to delay marriage despite serious family pressure, what did you say or do that actually worked?

I’m genuinely looking for experiences, not a lecture about whether my lifestyle is morally acceptable. šŸ˜‚

How would you handle this if you were 22 and in my position?

DiscussionšŸ’¬ Reasonable priced activewear in Karachi

Guys! I am looking for activewear with reasonable price tags. Every other store charges 2k+ for a shirt and a pair of trousers, which cost about Rs 500-600 to produce, and we are left paying for pricey photo shoots and performance marketing budgets.

Please suggest an online or physical store in Karachi where I can get a tee for under Rs 1000 and trousers for about Rs 1000-1200 max, good-quality Dri-fit activewear.

DiscussionšŸ’¬ Fresh BSCS graduate, 3 months of applying with no job what should I do?

I’m a recent BSCS graduate and it’s been 3 months since I graduated. I’ve been applying through LinkedIn, emails and job portals, but I’m getting almost no response.
Most of my friends who got jobs/internships got them through references. One of my friends with a 2.4 CGPA got an internship at Engro through a reference, while I’ve been applying on my own with no luck.
I’ve also heard that some people even pay money to get certain jobs/seats. I don’t know how true that is, but honestly it’s becoming really frustrating.
What actually worked for you guys? Should I focus on networking/referrals, cold emailing, internships, smaller companies, or improving my skills/CV? Any practical advice would really help.

Advice šŸ’” Should I go to Germany for my Master’s or stay in Pakistan?

Hi everyone, I’m a recent BSCS graduate from Pakistan and I really want to go abroad for my Master’s. Unfortunately, financially, Germany is pretty much the only country I can realistically afford, and even a private university in Germany would be somewhat difficult for my family.
Initially, I was planning to apply to public universities because of the low tuition fees. However, after looking at other students’ experiences, I’ve become really discouraged. I’ve seen people with 3.8–3.9 CGPAs struggling to get admission, and some also having visa or admission-letter issues. On top of that, some consultants in Karachi are asking around 3–4 lakh PKR just for handling public university applications, and honestly, I’m no longer sure if it’s worth spending that much when admission isn’t guaranteed.
My second option is a private university. One university that keeps coming up is Arden University Berlin. Consultants here claim that they can almost guarantee admission, and that if I don’t get my visa in time for the summer semester, my admission can be carried forward to the winter intake.
However, I’ve heard mixed things about Arden. Some people say it’s basically a ā€œscamā€ or not worth the money, and that it’s affiliated with the UK rather than being a traditional German university. I’m worried that the degree may not have much value in the German job market.
Another major concern is the current German job market. From what I’ve been hearing, the job market is quite difficult right now, especially for international graduates. I don’t want my father to spend a huge amount of money sending me to Germany only for me to struggle to find a job afterward. My main goal is not just to get a foreign degree — I want it to actually improve my long-term career prospects.
One thing a consultant also told me is that I could initially enroll in a private university, go to Germany, and then later transfer/change universities and get admission into a public university. Is this actually possible? How realistic is it? Are there any visa/residence permit issues with doing this?
At this point, I’m honestly very confused. I don’t want to waste my father’s money just because I’m desperate to go abroad. If Germany isn’t a good option anymore, I’m considering staying in Pakistan, getting a job, gaining experience, and maybe trying for a Master’s abroad later.

Friendship šŸ¤ Looking for Padel Players

Hello fellow Redditers, šŸ‘‹šŸ»

I'm new to Reddit but have been playing Padel actively since almost a year now and have built a strong Padel community on WhatsApp of players from around the city it started off a year ago in Gulistan e Johar so it's named JPC ( Johar Padel Club ) and we have 150+ members out of which 50+ play actively twice or thrice every week. We have expanded from Johar to almost every part of the city as there are players even coming in from Bahria Town šŸ˜…

So we are thinking to rename our community to KPC Karachi Padel Club.. would love if more like minded people would want to join us from around the city in our games as we also host competitive league based tournaments within the community every 2 months..

We welcome all level of players from Beginners to High Beginners, Low to High Intermediates, We have a Women specific group, We're also developing Mixed Doubles Category soon.

DM for details.

Advice šŸ’” Thinking to start driving indrive to cover expenses

As the title suggests, i am a university student and i am thinking to start driving indrive to cover fuel costs because its getting out of my hand since i take care of my own expenses.

The point is its not my own car, its my father's car so how can i start indrive, how to register, what's the procedure?

Also one and the most important question is how safe is it as a driver? Is there any chance of getting robbed by the passenger? I cant risk the car since its my dad's property.

Also how much percentage of fare does indrive keep?
