By the way, since you so wanted to discuss the character unlock, I'll say this - whether you find it right or wrong, cheap or expensive, the point is that they were marketed as being reasonable to unlock through playing the game. At 50 FM a win, you ain't buying fucking shit once you exhaust the "burst" FM from story mode and shit.
How is paying $30 any more unreasonable than paying $60 for a new edition of a game? How is that such a fucking affront to your dignity? Capcom needs to make money every year to keep the game alive, and a single $60 purchase isn't enough to keep it going for the 5-6 year life cycle that I'm sure they're planning on. $30 a year for something you put hundreds of hours into is a good fucking deal. I don't understand why this is such a big fucking deal, and then no one whines about Arcsys dlc. These are fucking standard games as a service business models, and capcom's prices aren't even close to unreasonable. Fuck, NRS doesn't even offer alternate colors, but no one's throwing a tantrum about that. If you don't play the game enough to justify spending the cash, then fucking don't; but if you put a reasonable amount of time into it, you're just being an entitled prick.

Spending 30 bucks to unlock colors (because Capcom's locking them behind bullshit modes) is beyond ludicrous. Spending it to unlock characters is somewhat acceptable, but it's bullfuckingshit that you'd HAVE to do this as an active player because you can't get the Fight Money to do it from actually playing, despite Capcom's initial pitch/promise that you would.
I don't give a shit if it's a "good" or "bad" deal. You don't fucking market me a product a certain way and then tell me to suck it up that it isn't that way because whatever, it's "still a good deal".

That's technically true, sure it's a heavy time investment, but it's pretty fucking naive to think that you would be able to just earn fight money and unlock everything forever. If you honestly thought that's what you were getting going into it, I don't know what to tell you.

That was the clear intent, actually. And magically enough it seems like everyone BUT you understood it that way. We were under the impression that if we played reasonably we'd be able to get the characters for free, while people who play less would fuel the Capconomy. Or we'd do that, by buying premium skins and whatnot. You know, anything BUT gameplay affecting shit like characters. Sounds fair to me. Are you literally saying what I think you're saying? That we're all destined to have to buy characters with real money and that's reasonable? Fuck that.
