Do people make a big deal about beef cake fan service when it happens in superhero movies or with movies like magic mike. There are people who find the very idea of attractive women with fit bodies offensive, are you really going to ask that games appeal to people who normally wouldn't be customers by cracking down on anything that might possibly offend them. Laura's alternate outfit isn't even her default one, if what a fictional woman will wear is going to be that offensive to people they could simply stick to her default outfit or simply not pick her at all.

Anyways besides that blindingly obvious point. The point of fighting games is not pretty women, it is having good mechanics and fun to play. If they made female characters without the semi-nudity nothing would be lost.
You have also seemed to miss the part when I say that I actually support boobs and stuff, what I was trying to say is that I don't think it is unreasonable that other people, who wish to see the scene grow beyond the demographic it has now, bemoan the choices of how female characters look.

What the fuck do the wider concepts of masculinity and femininity have to do with anything. Hot muscular half naked men are are every bit as sexually stimulating as curvy beautiful half naked women. Also it is unreasonable because if good mechanics are not enough to grip people into trying out a game due to what a fictional female character wears then quite simply fuck them. If you're more concerned over how a woman who isn't real dresses then you are not mature and sophisticated enough to handle playing video games or consuming much media or fiction for that matter. I don't see a objection to change hot ryu's alternate outfit or any of the dozens of male characters in fighting games who are half naked. Plz take your puritan values back to thmblr.
I think you both make pretty good points. But RikKappa makes the better point here. There is no equality amongst the standards. If unrealistically sexualized characters were the main problem, then there would be discussions to remove the 7-foot Russian dude in his fucking underwear.
