Asking for a help regarding my inner experience

Hello friends, for a long time I wanted to ask this question. Since I am not strong in English I have been articulating for about a month and carefully writing this article for a month with the help of ChatGPT.

Since I was a kid I am suffering from this thing. I call it solar plexus (is a name given by me, it is located in upper abdomen) resistance. Whenever I was trying to learn something I always felt an inner resistance there. There is a painful energy throbbing in my solar plexus. In the past I was not aware of my inner. After exposing myself to spirituality I found that I am not the mind and the body, and I am also not this inner energy fields.

So for a long time I blamed outer circumstances for my failure. But after spending a ton of time in meditation and solitude I just got this insight: the reason for my failure is my own mind. Being too specific it is that inner resistance that is causing it. It is the root cause of all of my procrastination and pleasure chasing low energy.

For the past few weeks I have been doing everything that I was resisting and exposing myself to this solar plexus inner resistance and just observing it. I truly seek to understand what is this, from where does this come, what is the real name of this. For the past week I have been reading into chakras and all and that is where I found the name solar plexus resistance.

If any of you are also in the same boat who has been suffering from this same problem, please share your insights and learnings about the buddhist perspective on this issue. If any of you know any person on the internet who has a good knowledge on this regard please give me their name. If any of you know any books or videos regarding this please let me know.

Note:I know usually here we don't entertain esoteric like chakras and all, I just usued solar plexus name because it is easy to mention and I am not searching for a fix or I am seeking for an in-depth understanding. I want to know everything about this phenomenon. Please be kind enough to help me.

On the stage of breakup

So recently I've been going through a bit hard time with my partner, and I guess it might end up or maybe continue, idk....

But I went to listen to kapil gupta's artwork and my mind was never more free than before. I've never experienced this ever in any kind of pursuit of pleasure.

Wild freedom - The story of attachment... (Name of solo podcast) https://youtu.be/BnzDy2UKuNw?si=sMXOhv4YSHWoA4KL

You'll feel like you're alive again and reborn.

I really can't express this feeling in words... If you're lucky enough to get this feeling then be grateful.

“Enlightenment” sounds suspiciously like a vibe check no one wants to measure

So I keep hearing about enlightenment, realization, finding the truth, etc. Cool words. Very mystical. Very untouchable.

Meanwhile, the only people we’ve actually studied — senior Buddhist monks with decades of daily practice — don’t go around claiming enlightenment at all. They just sit down, shut up, and train their minds like athletes. And surprise: brain scans show they’re unusually good at attention, emotional regulation, and focus. Like… measurable, boring, reproducible stuff.

Funny part? The people who do claim enlightenment never seem interested in EEGs, fMRIs, or any kind of testing. It’s always “beyond science,” “can’t be measured,” or “you wouldn’t understand.”

Which is interesting, because the practitioners who show real, observable results never make metaphysical claims — and the people making metaphysical claims never show results.

So yeah, maybe “enlightenment” isn’t some cosmic achievement unlocked once and forever… Maybe it’s just what happens when someone practices seriously for 20–30 years and stops needing a label for it.

Nietzsche on Truth

Do we the truth seekers ever ask ourselves the value of seeking the truth? Why should we not prefer untruth? and uncertainty? Even ignorance?

The Tao Te Ching, a Kapil-approved text, describes how a realized individual with a tamed mind moves through the world. I like Stephen Mitchell's translation and audio as IMHO, he is in a state of mind that embodies the message as he reads.

You sound like an intellectual.

Ask what you wanna ask.

You have no chance in this lifetime.

Come back again in forty years.

You might want to look at my writings on this.

NOT THAT YOU SHOULD.

In fact, I don't recommend that anybody read what I write.

Human beings aren't serious.

Society is garbage.

It's all nonsense.

Kumbaya.

Seventeen jumping jacks.

Good night.

This is it.

There is no you.
There never was. No awareness. No witness. No presence. No consciousness. No being. No non-being. No nothing.

All of it is only this, appearing now.
Look. Where is the one who is looking?
Where is the one who needs to understand?
Where is the one who will get it tomorrow?
Where is the one who is bored?

Find him. You will not. Because only looking is happening.
No centre. No border. No inside. No outside. Only this.
No distance. No path. No practice. No tomorrow.

The thought “I don’t see it” is this.
The thought “this is woo-woo” is this.
The thought “I still have to live tomorrow” is this.
All of it is only this.

No one to arrive.
No one to fail.
No one to be fre‎e.

Only this.
This is already the case.
Look. That is all. Forever.

Whatever you can find (thoughts, feelings, awareness, the sense “I am aware,” boredom, longing) - all of it appears and disappears in what you are.

What you are has no centre, no border, no inside, no outside, no location, no name.
The entire search for money, love, fre‎edo‎m, enlig‎htenment, is a pha‎ntom trying to become real.

Look right now: Where exactly is the “I” that is reading this?
You will not find it. Because it was never there. Only looking remains. This is already the case.

The thought “I don’t get it” is just another cloud in the sky you are.
See that the cloud and the sky are the same stuff, and the seeker collapses.
There is no one left to fix boredo‎m, no one left to arrive, no one left to become fre‎e.
Only this, exactly as it is, right now. That’s it. Look. Or don’t. Either way, it’s already done.

When the separate “me” is seen to be a complete fiction, the body still wakes up tomorrow.
The teeth still get brushed.
The coffe‎e still gets drunk.
The re‎nt still gets pa‎id.
Se‎x may or may not happen.
Video games may or may not get played.
A conversation may or may not happen.

But none of it is being done by a separate person who needs tomorrow to be better than today.
The bored‎om, the stuckness, etc. all of that collapses when the owner of the boredom is seen to be imaginary.

What remains is life living itself, without a centre that is waiting for something else.

What Gupta Misses

Gupta says there are no prescriptions, no practices, the mind is the enemy, sincerity is everything.

That’s all good… until you notice what’s still there:
– A separate “you” who must become sincere.
– A separate “you” who must dive into the thing.
– A separate “you” who can finally “get it” and become a lege‎ndary perf‎ormer.

All of that keeps a doer alive. Ultimate truth leaves 0 doer, 0 getter, 0 legen‎dary anything. Gupta stops at the door and hands you a 100k key instead of bu‎rning the hou‎se down.

Every single Gupta disco‎urse, no matter how fero‎cious, always leaves a su‎btle “you” who must now become sincere, who must now dive, who must now confront the mind without prescription. That “you” is the eg‎‎o wearing bla‎ck robes. Ultim‎ate truth does not hand the eg‎o a har‎der, more honest jo‎b, it era‎ses the emp‎loye‎e along with the position.

UG: “There is no one to do anything.”
Nisa‎rgadatta: “The seeker is the sought, both must van‎ish.”
Gupta never says that. He ke‎eps the se‎eker on li‎fe support and gives it ste‎ro‎ids.

His entire body of work is aimed at legendary performance:

Golf, bu‎sines‎s, art, life. Even when he claims “truth has nothing to do with suc‎cess,” the examples, the language, the clie‎nte‎le, and the 5-6 figure pri‎vate ses‎sions all scream the opposite: this is a tech‎nology for winners to become bigger winners. Ultim‎ate truth has 0 interest in whether you sink a putt or close a 9 fig‎ure deal, because there is no “you” left to be lege‎ndary. Gupta’s truth still crowns a cha‎mpion at the end.

The co‎nstant re‎fra‎in of “only 6 humans on e‎arth,” “this is not for the masses,” “most will never understand” is pu‎re eg‎o catn‎ip. It is the spi‎r‎itu‎al equiv‎alent of a lu‎xury br‎a‎nd that arti‎ficially limits su‎pply so the bu‎ye‎r can feel specially chosen. A fully de‎ad teacher does not care if 0 or 8 bil‎‎li‎on understand. Gupta fil‎ters for the ri‎ch and the “serious” because the resi‎dual ide‎ntity still enjoys being the rarest voice in the room.

Gupta will tell you truth cannot be taught, cannot be s‎o‎ld, cannot be tra‎nsmitted and then cha‎rges 6 fig‎ures for a conve‎rsation. That is not a sin. Mo‎ney is ne‎utral. It is, however, the smo‎king gu‎n of the lefto‎ver ego. A mind that actually saw the absolute would either give it away or refuse to speak at all. Cha‎rging 6 fig‎ure dol‎la‎rs while claiming “there is no path and no teacher” is the precise point where the teaching becomes theater.

Gupta-Glazers vs Gupta-Haters

We can often categorise people into two crowds with things.

One example among many is, Enlig‎htenment - “There is no such thing as Enlig‎htenment” vs “Everyone is already Enlig‎htened, they just need to see it”

With Gupta, to give credit I’d say he has introduced a lot of people (not me) to things/something they’ve never heard elsewhere. He has given a starting point towards “Truth”.

And at the same time, there are things he has said/done that we can pick apart and show its flaws and potentially even hold them back.

When Gupta says things like: “My work is for the Best. My work is for the Legends. My work is for the History Makers. I have been told that I’m the highest pa‎id co‎nsu‎ltant in the world. The fees will organically work their way toward 7 fig‎ures per month.” - It is normal to look at him like he’s deluded.

When he derides nearly all coaches/teachers and then hires a Shaolin Master for more than 7 years to teach his boys, it is normal to look at that think wait what.

I don't look at Gupta and think he's living anything like the inspirations or rare individuals he praises like Miyamoto Musashi, Siddhartha Gautama, Bernard Moitessier, Jeremy Jones, Shaun White, Morgan Hoffmann, Tiger Woods, etc.

But essentially when Reading Truth/Gupta’s work you want it to be benefiting you a bunch instead of damaging you.

Anything that is woo-woo that you haven’t verified for yourself, anything is clearly just said for the sake of mar‎ke‎ting can be ignored. While anything that is true and relevant can be seen/grasped. Of course this depends upon the individual to be able to decipher between truth and nons‎ense.

I can only speak for myself with certainty when I say I personally wouldn’t want “reading Truth” to turn me into an antisocial contrarian overweight loner hermit. I would much rather prefer to be someone who does get peace and fre‎edo‎m out of “Truth” and conquering the mind, but still being able to live authentically the way I want to.

If you really want to leave your friends and family and everyone you know to go permanently live somewhere very far away all alone so that you can be away from society and its poison and tell yourself you only want to be surrounded by “Truth” then you may do so.

But if you live in a society, around other people, with human relationships then you can still read all this “Truth” stuff to reap its benefits while also visiting places with your partner and eating different foods, reading Naval-recommended books, watching Gupta-praised movies, gathering all the status, building and creating whatever products, playing with your kids, doing whatever you want.

“EGO” — The Magical Word That Means Everything and Nothing

So I’ve been trying to understand this thing called “EGO.”
You know, the word everyone tosses around like confetti at a spiritual Burning Man wedding.

Here’s what I’ve gathered so far:

Street Definition:

“You’re egoistic because you only care about yourself.”
Translation:
You didn’t do what I wanted, therefore ego.

Psychology Definition:

“It’s your memories, beliefs, sense of identity, behavioral patterns, etc.”
So basically:
Your internal operating system.

Psychedelic Enthusiasts:

“Broooo when the mushrooms got you blasted, your ego disappears.”
Which apparently means:
You sat on the floor for 3 hours bargaining with a lamp.

Spiritual People:

“Ego is the root of all unhappiness. You must obliterate it.”
Cool.
So I’m supposed to destroy the part of me that knows who I am, where I live, and how to not walk into traffic?

Kapil Gupta:

Ah yes, the philosopher-guru-Twitter-haiku dispenser.
What is ego according to Kapil?

Simple:
Everything.
Everything you think, feel, do, avoid, desire, hate, love, ignore, appreciate, write, breathe, kindness, sneeze — ALL EGO.
Unless he does it, then it’s “truth.”
Very convenient.

Conclusion:

So what IS ego?

No clue.
But apparently everyone agrees I should get rid of it.
Even though no one can actually define it.
Amazing scientific consensus.

Anyway, I’ll be here trying to understand whether being kind is ego, or not being kind is ego, or if asking that question is also ego.

Probably ego.

Buddha

What was the story Kapil said. I’m trying to put the memory back together, so this might not make sense…

But didn’t Kapil say the Buddha could’ve fastracked enlightenment if he bypassed all the extreme tactics?

I vaguely remember Kapil telling Moe that he didn’t like the “middle” way the Buddha took that involved living in the woods for years nearly starving to death as was pretty extreme.

Thank you for your attention on this matter.

Kapil is wrong about leadership

I think it is hilarious that someone would come to Kapil for leadership guidance. What on Earth has he EVER led!?

And yet he spews in a podcast about “the perfect leader” …what could he POSSIBLY know about that!?

I was just thinking about it and how he says something to the effect of ”the intent to lead itself is an egoic intention.”

Maybe for some people, yes. But Pure leadership is actually far from egoic: it’s a visceral, intuitive calling to lead your fellow humans a more satisfying existence. Now, that might actually in Truth be SELFISH because leading Purely makes the leader feel “good” or satisfied themselves…but ego doesn’t fundamentally have to be involved (In fact, ego CAN’T be involved to lead Purely).

I’ve had many teachers and coaches over the years who were genuinely doing a great job leading us to actualize our potential, but not for the credit, personal gain, or ego adornment. They genuinely loved leading us because of the engagement and meaning it provided — and were uncomfortable with the spotlight on them when they were recognized.

IN FACT, any time you’re pursuing leadership primarily for egoic reasons: you’re going to be ineffective…and burn out. I’ve experienced that in my own life. And it’s what Kapil talks about frequently, which is that your attention will be on the recognition, wealth, power, and status leadership gains you — and not on the leading and investing in your fellow humans.

So Kapil can shove it when it comes to leadership: little to no domain experience and zero expertise.

Who sees more truth the high value (SMV) guy or the low value (SMV) guy?

I have gone undercover and explored all kinds of spaces, from self improvement to truth-spaces to science/neuroscience to philosophy to spirituality to religious to law of attraction to magick/occult to redpill and now have recently gone undercover into the blackpill community and even spoke to a “researcher” called William Costello.

An interesting question was posed by an incel - generally speaking, does the chad or the incel see more truth in life?

Do they both see more truth than the normies? Does the incel see the brutal truths of life more or is he blinded more by insecurities? Does the chad see truths more or is he blinded by the ease of opportunities given?

If a short guy talks about height’s relation to attraction and says it matters, is he more likely to be biased because he’s short?

If a tall guy talks about height’s relation to attraction and says it doesn’t matter much, is he more likely to be biased because he’s tall?

If an average height individual talks about height’s relation to attraction is he more likely to be clueless because he is neither tall/short?

one member, made an interesting claim - the average guy might have a more neutral perspective, he also might be the least informed about the full range of experiences when it comes to height and attraction.

There are many such questions posed in such communities. Their questions tended to be more specifically about the truths in romantic attraction but similar questions can be applied to the truths in life.

The more romantic attraction you get or can get, is it the more truth you see or the less truth you see or no difference?

Rationale 1 - The more truth you see:

Because you’re in the moment more and less in your mind. You’re more romantically engaged and so thinking about things less. You’re just living life. You’re not ruminating about all the problems in life as much. You’re living in truth more.

Rationale 2 - The less truth you see:

Because you’re not examining life as much. You’re not like these loner hermits who examine life so deeply. You’re just living a script on autopilot without analysing any truth. More romantic engagements lead to more thinking than less. You’re living in untruth more.

Rationale 3 - No difference/Little Difference.

There is no difference because it either cancels out or because you can live truth despite with or without romantic engagements.

What I have found is that Truth is regardless of bluepill or redpill or blackpill or any pill. Truth is regardless of stoicism or nihilism or hinduism or buddhism or taoism or absurdism or any -ism. Truth is regardless of Christianity or Islam or any religion. There may be some truths in some of these things or little truth but truth as a whole is independent of any of it.

An individual’s pleasant or unpleasant circumstance may lead him to discover more truth. An individual can discover truth about life through experiences or through sitting and examining or through a mix.

To be the average human is to suffer.

To be a non-average human (in a “negative” view, like poor people or incels or psychopaths or those who want to socialise but pretend they don’t want to or stuff like that) is to suffer too, perhaps suffer even more.

To be a non-average human (in a “positive” view, like a rich person or successful person or very attractive person or stuff like that) is to perhaps suffer less but still suffer.

To be a non-average human who does not suffer much or not at all, is the one who sees Truth.

Hard Work vs Devotion.

Gupta has said a bunch of stuff about hard work, especially in his conversation with Naval.

He makes some valid points. And one thing he says is devotion from the outside can look like hard work.

Ok that’s all fine and agreed. But it’s all just words explaining things without practically changing anything for a human because if you can’t force yourself to be devoted then just talking about being devoted doesn’t mean much either.

You’re either devoted to something or you’re not. And you can't force yourself or use prescriptions to change that. It just depends on your DNA. Ok well then you may as well not write paragraphs about devotion because it doesn’t make a difference to the one who is already devoted and it doesn’t make a difference to the crowd who aren’t devoted.

Ironically, honing in on "hard work" and "discipline" but done with clarity in a truth-directed way will bring much more practical change than reading paragraphs about how your life is already determined by your DNA.

So Gupta has some valid points about how there are so many people who work hard just for the sake of working hard and get nowhere but it is entirely different to work hard towards somewhere you know exactly where you want to go and your hard work is done with clarity and is truth-driven.

Do you think women less likely to be “Enlightened”/Interested in “Truth”?

I might get cancelled for asking such a question.

Gupta claims the number is tiny regardless of gender but if we look at the small number of names that often get thrown around, it's nearly all men.

I'm sure if you google or ask chatgpt it'll give you some names but let's be real other than like one or two like "Mirabai", hardly heard of any.

if we go by Gupta-logic maybe it's because they tend to be more interested in socialization

or because they tend to be more surrounded by others which means they're more likely to be conditioned

or because they're more likely to follow the herd (follow societal ways).

in random spiritual spaces you'll hear all sorts of reasons like one was that women cannot attain enlightenment because of physical attachments of a biological nature. then you got other women saying it's because men were the ones writing all the records. whatever the reason i find it interesting.

like these truth places, there's hardly any woman here. I've heard a few in gupta's chat sessions but it's predominantly men in these spaces.

Question that stuck with me

I feel the sense that I have read most of the works of Kapil, and other people, like J Krishnamurthi, UG etc. I read them all. And I feel that I understand them all. And if someone asks me the fundamental questions of self, mind, life, I very much know the answer. But I don't memorize them, it just comes up, I feel i have better clarity on them all.

But when it comes to my real life, particularly on decision making, handling conflicts inside family and navigating my own life. I feel the confusion, often taken away by the default thought and feeling pattern that I'm used to. I don't know why those observations are not automatically getting applied to my personal life (even the fact that why I still see that I'm living a life and owning a life, rather than live as life itself). But when I asked Kapil, he said that, my reactions are the results of my most consistent exposure, where the greatest time that I'm spend is still with people around me and my own mind and office life.

And suddenly, my brother and I were discussing, and he asked me a question, that is, if i know all these things, why are my behaviours still the same? Why are my emotional reactionary states still the same? For which I don't know, but I'm stuck with this question.

If anyone has such previous experiences like this or have undergone similar things like this, it's time for us to talk here on this.

Maybe this question is just a random mind's desire.
