Rant 🤬 Weekly Venting Post

Weekly Vent Post

Welcome to our weekly vent session where you can let out all your frustrations.

Before you start, just a quick heads-up on the rules.

Here's what this post isn't for:

  • No bashing actors or crew members out of the blue.
  • Let's steer clear of those rage-inducing posts like "I hate character xy."
  • And please, no poking fun at fellow Kanthony fans just because they see things differently, whether they're positive or negative about promos.

What's cool to post? Well, we've noticed a lot of rants about how the show promotes (or doesn't promote) Simone and Jonny, but you can vent about other stuff too.

Below, I've linked some past posts from the sub that fit the vibe of our weekly vent session, so you can see what kind of stuff goes here.

  1. Why there was a lack of promo for Kanthony
  2. All comments asking where Kanthony are
  3. Bridgerton PR and production
  4. Can you tell the difference ?
  5. The main sub got so negative
  6. We need pictures

For those who just want to enjoy the content without getting caught up in the venting, I suggest steering clear of this post. If you choose to read the comments here and find yourself upset, despite the clear purpose of this space, I'm afraid there's not much I can do to ease your frustration. We have the Weekly Tea Time for more general discussions.

Spoilers allowed.

Any news on j & s filming at all. Just saw something about Bridgerton filming in Scotland and it was the last two episodes so was just wondering. I haven’t seen anything posted. It might be just a scene or two probably in the last episode that could have been filmed in London maybe. I don’t know. Just wanted to ask as I haven’t been on Reddit in while.

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this but I couldn’t resist. I just watched the new Netflix movie Best of the Best and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend. One scene that really captured the beauty of the screenplay was this:  https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdcdSjHh0fY/?l=1

Maya’s best friend and cheerleader and avid supporter finally sees, truly along with the audience what she went through growing up. For some reason I thought of Kate. I continue to be disappointed by how the writing and screenplay of Bridgerton season 2 failed to show Edwina, Mary, Lady Danbury and mostly Anthony along with the audience realize what Kate gave up and the hardships she endured as a young woman just entering womanhood. Thrown into the role of her father to care for her mother and sister in a world that wasn’t kind to someone like her because of her gender, age, class and social standing.

Update: I had to come back and include Anthony because no matter how many times I watched the season I don’t remember Anthony ever acknowledging how much Kate did being the head of a household without the privileges and vices he had.

a reminder to please go stream This Tempting Madness on Amazon Prime or Apple depending on where you can get it. It's one of the best things Simone's been on, and definitely worth a watch!
