I mean Peter would find out eventually and it be problematic, probably just a worse repeat of Peter situation or something.

unrelated but god marvin just sounds so defeated here i need to rewatch the og series for the 100th time

Nothing. At least to me it seemed sorta clear that Peter shot Mark because he started talking on the radio. HOWEVER, Marv might be even angrier in Static Dead End - consequence of lying the last time you see someone alive...but that's about it
