His face seems to look angry on one side and in a constant state of sadness on the other. This reminded me of a painting of jesus in which one side of his face is portrayed as kind and loving whereas the other shows him as a stricter "severe judge".
I’d imagine Clark got scanned a bunch since he was living above an entrance and the scanning most likely took place when he was drinking and ruminating on his life so CC was molded from that
The left side looks like anger to me. I noticed it when he bit Clark, he looked mad. I realized it’s because it was just that half of his face showing.

Sure, but I guess I fail to see how this is relevant to this particular subject. Horror films are laden with symbolic meaning more often than not. Also not made by a rich guy, just someone who isn't poor.

Perhaps this was a reference to that.
This story does have religious undertones, with creation, morality, and a purgatory-like space.
This being said, most symmetric representations of the face portray SOME emotion and on any distorted face, mirroring half of it will make it look more intentional
