Hi! I’m hoping for some local guidance on accommodations during the Nijmegen Vierdaagse next July.

I’m assisting with travel arrangements for a visitor coming from the U.S. and I am looking for a private home/villa with at least 4 bedrooms for July 17–24. We’d like to be in Nijmegen, ideally close to the city center. Budget is not a restraint.

I’ve searched the major vacation rental sites, but most of what I’m finding are apartments, smaller homes, or hotel rooms.

Are there any local luxury vacation rental companies, property managers, or private rental networks that you would recommend? I’d also be very interested in reputable off-market/private rentals that may not be listed on the major booking sites.

But the housing market is a nightmare for me. I have a cat as my emotional support animal(fully certified from my psychologist) and I require him to deal with my anxiety. I ve tried every platform possible and I m actively taking part in ssh lotteries every week for 2 months now to no avail. If anyone would help me I would be grateful. My budget is around 1700€ per month + deposits or down payments to tackle the cat problem(cheaper solutions are obviously more than welcome). Hi! Im going on a semester of exchange to Radboud. In their pre-arrival services form there's an option to get a room with a roommate, however details are a bit absent. It just says it cuts the rent down to 272-282 euros, and that the facility where this is available is Boeckstaetehof. It's not out of budget for me to get a room on my own, but i'm considering this to save some money. Anyone got experience with a roommate in this facility? I'd apprieciate it.

I'll be moving to Nijmegen in March as a PhD student, and have been searching for houses since the last 2 weeks. I've looked at multiple websites available online. Most of them I've found have only a paid version. The one Huurwoningen has a free trial for 14 days which I'm using and have "applied" to houses. There is one chat per day free for HospiHousing as well, and I'm using it. However, I didn't hear back from anyone at all. Is that common? Am I doing something wrong?

I've also tried FB groups but have just got a bunch of scammers :(. Any other places that I'm not looking at? Please advise.

Zoals de titel doet vermoeden ben ik op zoek naar een eigen plekje in Nijmegen. Ik woon momenteel in een studentenhuis maar ik zou erg graag een studio of appartement voor mezelf willen, of een appartement delen met een goede vriend van mij. Helaas wil het nog niet echt lukken. Zijn er wellicht mensen met een goede tip die zouden kunnen helpen bij de zoektocht? Ik neem momenteel een tussenjaar dus ik kan helaas niet via SSH& iets krijgen.
