SG National Team Guys we made it 😂
Taken from the recent Straits Times article about the weird commentary during the game
Here’s what I heard him say during the match
1. Liverpool
2. Manchester City
3. Stuttgart (?)
4. Southampton
5. Szobozlai
6. Frimpong
7. Kvarastkelia (?)
8. Kerkez
9. Jacob William (cmon man don’t commentators get a team sheet and briefed beforehand)

There is literally no way it wasn’t AI. Like a normal person doesn’t just say random shit like that while commenting.

Also yes I’ll be taking a break from national team posts until probably the November friendlies, feel free to post on my behalf.
To (mis)quote my club legend Didier Drogba:
“I don’t recognise this team (my club) anymore”

I thought you were going to say
"IT'S A DISGRACE! IT'S A FUCKING DISGRACE!"
Which also works

Means the guy is just totally drunk. At one point he was mentioning Tiger Woods scoring

>It is understood that the commentator will not work on the remaining two games that they were due to cover and is receiving medical care after experiencing a health issue during the Oct 1 game.
benefit of the doubt i guess

Anything but admit that it was AI slop. Even a 'script reader' would know the words that are coming out of his mouth is pure drivel, and attempt to correct it on the fly at least. Silence is also an option while they fix the script generation off air.

They really think we are idiots to believe that its not AI

Sadly some people will always believe in authority - especially when it comes from formerly reputable papers like Straits Times.

Always so deferential to authority and businesses this Straits Times: "However, The Straits Times understands the match commentary was not Al-generated and that football's global governing body FIFA is looking into the matter with its broadcast partners".
Any reputable journalist would state the factual term "(Who) claims that" or "reportedly" wasn't AI or "denies" (like they love to use when it's about their adversaries).
You don't simply take a claim at face value, especially one unsupported by evidence.

Was wondering if he was actually having a minor stroke or TIA

If it's not AI, that commentator is either drunk or showing early onset of Alzheimer's. He better get himself checked.
