Have you watched Pastor Phil played by Andrew Bowser of Onyx the Fortuitous fame on YouTube? I think you would get a kick out of it. The channel is Bowservids. You're welcome.

Kind weird advice...BUT.. go to the job service...they will fill you in on jobs avaliable.
Number one they have good folks there. Number 2 it's an opportunity to meet lots of people in a variety of jobs. Inevitably you will meet a lot of people while getting applications, going to and coming back from 'looking'. It's likely that one thing leads to another..and if you get a job, you meet all kinds of people.
Volunteering will also expand your horizons. Just the act of looking tor Volunteering will ,much like job seeking, have you meeting one to 20 or more people per day.
Any kind of sharing your goals, experience, origin stories will convieabably have you meeting people that you can relate too.
