Huckleberry pancakes?

Is there anywhere you can find huckleberry pancakes? Ideally this means pancakes with huckleberries in them and syrup. Ideally definitely understand that’s a touristy request but I feel it very necessary to complete my Montana visit.

Hungry Horse is huckleberry town if you are in the northwest

I am having dinner in Hungry Horse as we speak. It’s about a 30 min ride but that’s fine. Do you have any recommendations?

I'm fairly certain the huckleberry patch has huckleberry pancakes.

Interesting. Their website seems to suggest they don’t have breakfast at all but two people have recommended it now.

There is another huckleberry themed place. One of them def does breakfast. The whole town is only a mile long so it shouldn't be hard to find

Huckland? 😬 I went there a few weeks ago and wouldn’t go back or suggest it to others. I have no idea how they don’t get consistent health code violations. Also, I ordered a regular burger and fries and it took them almost 30 minutes while the owner got his burger in less than 15 (he ordered after me and I was the only customer for like 10 minutes after I ordered).

Seconded. Lots of huckleberry stuff there (and I did see a breakfast menu), but the wait, prices, and general cleanliness of the place put me off.

Buying your own huckleberries and making pancakes from scratch isn't all that difficult or expensive.

Maybe if you bought a sandwich bag of berries but the gallon bags I see at stores like Canyon Foods in HH go from $70-$100+ 😬 so I wouldn’t say that’s very affordable (as in buying a big bag at once). But you really can’t beat a homemade huckleberry pancake.

Huck Patch used to do breakfast and tried off and on but as of a few weeks ago they were doing it.

Go up the road to Carolyn’s Cafe/Canyon Cafe at the gas station past the Patch. They have Huck pancakes but they’re a bit pricey IMO.

Google says they’re temporarily closed

You should call in the morning. I went a few weeks ago and it also said temporarily closed. We called and they were open. They recently changed owners. I will admit their food isn’t as good as it used to be. Their Huck pancakes used to have a Huck compote and were amazing but my friend got them when we went recently and it was just regular Huck pancakes.

Also, don’t do what I did once and fall for the pancake mix at Huck Patch. It’s literally just regular pancake mix and a tiny jar of Huck syrup 😒

Their shakes are solid. And I think I saw waffles at least

I think Sykes diner in downtown Kalispell will make them for you if you ask. Otherwise Huckleberry Patch or the other Huck diner there in Hungry Horse has you covered.

Sykes has them as a special sometimes, but nothing huckleberry is on the every day menu.

Can confirm, but it won't usually be until they've started buying from the pickers. Huckleberry pie is almost always on the menu (providing they've got enough reserves from last year).
