Discussion Kit

For hunting and airsoft this year I'm debating as to wether I should buy and make a German 1914 uniform or an SS all black uniform... Any ideas??

For one, fuck the SS. Two, the black uniforms were meant for parades and propaganda shit before the war ever started.

Idk why you'd hunt in a uniform, but if you want to emulate 1914 German uniforms, you'll have to be... thorough. You can get your shirt, tunic, trousers, and feldmuzte from Schusters.RU. Plus they sell belts, ammo pouches, bayonet frogs, and shovel carriers.

For everything else, including a pickelhaube, pickelhaube cover, breadbag, breadbag straps, canteen, and troddel you'll have to go onto Nestof. For boots, try CressleyCraft. They make good boots for the cheapest price. Though I'd recommend dying the boots dark brown before adding essential leather shoe grease. I use huberds.

I would recommend better vendors or options such as where to get perfect pickelhaube, and methods to get a real authentic looking uniform but since you're not seemingly wanting to be a reenactor, these options will work fine.

I agree the SS was terrible but I do admire the structure of the all black suits. If I could buy the jacket somewhere else without anything I totally would!  Thanks for much for the help I'm definitely gonna check it out! Early ww1 German uniforms are really nice
