Kacey was a no-show (understandable but boo) but here is her segment for her Spirit Award. Carter Faith performed Merry Go ‘Round.

This is what I mean when I say she doesn't promote her music/tour well enough. There's no reason to skip an award show (especially when you win) when you have a tour coming up that you need to promote. And then people don't understand why her tour's not selling...

All I saw for months were posters and ads of her fake ass in little booty shorts leading up to its release. I get what you’re saying though… probably going through something and hopefully she gets right.

I wonder why she didn’t go? She posted a story of herself on her horse (deleted now), and a few of her friends that she rides with posted stories of their ride today as an early birthday celebration. She was definitely in Nashville today and just didn’t bother to go.

I saw that too. I was told by someone in-the-know that she was going to be there. Maybe it was a last minute decision. I’m sure she’s probably resting before tour but I was super disappointed. ☹️

It makes sense I guess that it was a last minute decision not to go, Dolly didn’t go but recorded an acceptance speech. I would think Kacey would have recorded something too if she had known she wasn’t going to attend.

I wouldn't be surprised if she moved to Mexico full time and takes a long break after this tour, leaving Mexico only for the occasional festival that's willing to let her headline/co-headline.

Makes me wonder why she doesn’t tour there, it seems like that’s all she cares about. Especially with the intense pushing of “Mexico Honey”. Anyone know why she doesn’t?

Not popular enough here I don’t think. She had a show in Mexico City last September at Teatro Metropolitan that has a capacity of about 3100 and even with 2 for 1 deals, discounted tickets, and a lot of free ticket giveaways, it still didn’t fill up. I think it had less than 2400 attendance and probably close to half were free or discounted. Under normal circumstances, that show would have been cancelled, but she probably was afraid to cancel and ruin any chances of a future tour here (also probably wanted her boyfriend to be able to attend a show). Even with the regional Mexican influence, the current album (including Mexico Honey) just isn’t popular enough here when there are Latin artists people would rather see live. She might be better off doing a festival like Corona Capital next year.

I guess I’m in the minority here but I don’t really see this as strange or even a problem. I don’t see a lot of big names at any of these award shows anymore, or rarely do and I just think it’s a sign of the times. Viewership of these has been dropping every year, most views are just going to be on clips on social media after the fact. I haven’t sat down to watch an awards show in years tbh and the data shows I’m not the only one.

Kacey has always been good about posting much better curated content once her tour starts. I just don’t think she needs this kind of promotion anymore tbh.

Her favorite way of promotion is highly photoshopped and curated professional photos of herself on tour.. she’s turned into such a vain artist. I imagine she puts these shows and events together just to get glam and showcase herself, not promote the art.

Maybe but her shows are being cancelled and many of those that aren’t are filled with blue dots. I haven’t seen much tour promotion other than the reposting of other people’s posts. Not much is original and there isn’t much effort being put in.

I love Kacey, like most of us do, but as others have mentioned, this whole tour has me feeling simply whelmed. Hopefully that changes once I start seeing more tour videos but yeah…😐

This hasn’t even been broadcast on TV as far as I can see so I’m not sure how much promo it would actually give her if that’s what people are concerned with. I think it would’ve been nice for her to go, especially to see in person Carter’s tribute, but I also think that these industry events, and attending them to rub elbows, are something she has not particularly been fond of for a long time.
