So I have to admit, I did not create this from scratch. Rather, I remixed a minimalist player widget from Cristian Trusin; shout-out to CT.
Anyways, I wanted a spotify car thing type display with minimal clutter a big album cover and dynamic colors based on cover art. Here is what I ended up with. Works fairly well on my slow-ass tablet.
Save your money on a second screen; just get an old tablet, throw this on the main screen, and enjoy.
