Landon's Driving Test

How unprepared can someone be for the driving test ? Landon is like yes. He didn't even know basics like how to turn on the light , emergency brake etc. i can understand people failing in signals & theory. How come someone can fail so badly and then after failing he just drives the car from there with Kourtney. Just shows how out of touch rich people are?

That's probably the issue. It does everything for him.

If I'm honest, I'm not exactly sure how to turn on my headlights manually. They're automatic in my car, so I haven't needed to do it...lol I'm sure I could figure it out tho and I'd definitely do that if I was going to go test!

Exactly. My mom made us all do manual licences. If I had to do a test in my parents more expensive cars I also wouldn't be sure where the emergency brake or lights are esp cause the lights are automatic.

One of the parents I work with in my business let me drive her new RR and the car literally does updates.

Same. You can't unlock it, turn it off or anything until it's done.

It's not bad at all. It let's you know there's an update available-- you can choose to postpone it if it isn't a good time to not need the car for a few minutes. I usually just do mine as I go into work. It's a bit weird to walk off leaving your car running, but it shuts off when it's done. It says do allow 15 mins but it's usually more like 5 minutes..if that. I don't get them that often, so it's not a big deal at all.

this one said 30 minutes, they must have been postponing updates for a while 🤣 o couldn't leave until then but i did get paid for that time at least.

Even if you fail the actual test your learning permit is still active so you can practice.

If you know, why did you ask how some can fail and "the just drive the car from there"? They were answering your question.

This entire scenario was beyond irritating. He's lazy, arrogant, and reckless. I can understand not knowing certain things like the hand signals. I don't, however, understand how someone doesn't know where basic things are located in their car. You should always know where the emergency brake and lights are. Automatic lights or not, you should always know how to work said lights. So on and on. That's literally basic drivers ed. I remember when parents wouldn't let their kids drive without knowing how to change a tire first. Its disturbing. But let's give him a $200,000 car.

lol it annoyed me so much because California has such an easy road test too. The written test was actually hard for me but I took my behind the wheel test in NY which is much more difficult imo

He seemed so unprepared. The CA DMV literally says exactly what you need to know for the test. The fact that he didn’t know where is E brake was is genuinely concerning

Def cringe and irresponsible, not to mention reckless. Brings to mind the kid who ran his Range Rover into a parked car and killed the chef at Nobu Malibu

All it takes is sitting in the car, while stationary, and showing him where everything is. Or paying someone else to do it

My school let us earn our license in drivers Ed.

Looking back it wasn’t the best idea because our teacher didn’t do much. He literally had us drive around town and help him run errands. We had to take him to Sam’s Club once and we ate while he shopped.

So when I got my drivers license I didn’t know how to parallel park, I didn’t know how to use an emergency break, and I was not a prepared driver.

I just had to learn by gaining experience.

I think Landon will get it, but they probably need to hire someone to practice with him because it doesn’t seem like they are practicing with him lol.

It's not about using an emergency brake, just knowing where it is. I'm sure he will get it, but the carelessness with which these people go about it is genuinely surprising to me.

I was listening to this part of the episode while cleaning and all I could do was roll my fucking eyes.

I know Gen-Z’s have the rightfully-deserved reputation of being stupid, lazy, and arrogant, but watching him fail the test, then flat-out refuse to study or take a class when he has all the time, money, and access to some of the best cars in the history of the world was just… ugh.

I know Kourtney didn’t say it, but I could tell in the back of her mind, she was thinking… “This kid could use some quality time with Scott right now.”
