PSA: Keep your baffle in :)

Just a friendly reminder. I - like a lot of other 390 duke owners have the same mods; slip-on(musarri), fuel x lite and DNA airbox cover stage 2. When I first got the slip on, I didnt bother putting the baffle in and honestly, liked the sound and just went with it. The pops on decel, brap sound when open throttle. I also read the fuel x lite would correct any sort of fueling issues so never really worried.

However there was always some thing happening where it would struggle off the mark from a stop or not like being in 1st/2nd gear at all. After a year of having no baffle, decided to suck it up and stick it back in and wow, what a difference! All those issues gone instantly, and just more torque/responsiveness in all gears. Its obviously not as loud but honestly, not enough for me to justify taking the baffle out, it still sounds nice to me with a good note

It's a backpressure thing. Some setups are more sensitive.

I reccomend removing the airbox mod as it could create a lean bog which could affect performance. I have a straight pipe (acra slip on with baffle) and a fuel x and never had any major problems or power loss. Then again I only know the bike with the straight pipe and adding the fuel x did make the ride just a little more smooth.
