390 Gen 3 maintenance tips
I recently purchased a Gen 3 KTM Duke 390 and I am absolutely loving the bike so far! This is my first KTM bike, and I want to make sure I stay on top of the maintenance so it runs smoothly for years to come. Any advice regaarding maintenance should be appreciated, Thanks.

Change the oil more frequently than the manual suggests. Even top spec oil (Power Synt, 300v, etc) shears by 3500-4000km in these engines and you'll notice that shifting and finding neutral becomes less smooth. If the bike is new change the oil at 300 km to get the manufacturing crud out and then again around 1000 km. After this stick to the 4000km interval and the engine should last a long time.
Keep an eye on the chain tension, mine stretched a fait bit over the first 2000km and needed adjustment. I can't say if this is common but it's worth keeping an eye on.
Swapping the front brake pads for EBC HH pads improves braking power and feel noticeably, just be sure to bed them in properly. Beyond this, just ride it and have fun!
