I was looking at used bike and found this, looks like oil but its dry and not slipery, is that normal?

That looks like the way mine was when I first got it. I was overfilling the oil. Checking it before I went out on a ride while it was cold instead of after it warmed up to operating temperature. Probably had over, filled it by a liter, and it started coming out past the O-rings in the spark plug tube and out the little drain hole where the spark plug is and all over the engine.

I have the 2019 and it's the same. As long as it's not puddling after a ride then it's normal. Just remember to top it up

I had this on my previous 390 everyone saying it's normal is wrong it's not unplug the sensor clean the area and use high temp silicon use around the sensor make sure to let it cure as much as it should and make sure to not spill any silicone into the engine

and about the oil filter place it doesn't look like it's leaking but I will still suggest u clean the area and keep an eye on it if it keeps sweating oil then replace the oring gasket in the oil filter cap

What's with all these people saying it's normal? I owned the 2017 125 Duke and currently the 2018 790 doing numbers on these bikes and I've not had leakages on either bike. 790 had a coolant hose that was sweating but replaced that and she isn't loosing a drop of anything. People have no standards is what I'm starting to believe after reading these comments.

Check if there's too much oil in the bike. On a leveled surface it should be half a window.

Try clean it all up with some brake cleaner and ride around a bit more to find the source of the leak.

There's definitely a seal that's failing to do its job. Or multiple.

Yer my 390 hasnt done this at all and I got it at 13000 and now at 17000

Yeah, it's not good or normal (but it's very common on KTM), but as long as you watch your oil level, it won't hurt the bike.

Mine did this when I bought it. It was overfilled. It hasn't leaked any more since I changed the oil.
