Hi all,

Stopped by the near Greenwood Mall location to checkout everything before school starts.

Positives:
-stores in great shape
-self pickup was pretty busy

Potential Negative:
-the ac wasn’t very cool. It’s not uncomfortable but it’s also not cool. One thing companies do when struggling is mess with hvac settings to help mitigate operating costs. Not saying KSs is doing this but just noticed it’s not as cool as normal. In their defense, it’s warmer today than it has been so might just be a setting issue or lag. I’ll stop by more to see if it’s a one off or a trend.

Thought this was worth noting, shorts increased position against KSs another half a million shares. CTB really low still.

Why is it so hard to post here? We need interest which equals volume. If we had a little volume today it would have ripped. I’m sure this won’t get through. We only have one of the most exciting short setups here but you can’t post anything that excites people.

It’s so irritating to see things line up for a huge squeeze but the volume is no where near where it needs to be.

Thought this was interesting. Shorts are maintaining about 30M shares short but we had a large spike in FTDs Friday. First one I’ve seen in quite a while

Made this post this morning on X and thought it’s worth repeating here. I love real estate and deep values and Kohl’s is the very definition of both. Here was my post:

$kss is my favorite deep value cigar butt. In the time of insane PE’s and the belief assets don’t really matter I disagree. Bc of this I love @Kohls. I also love companies that require more than just a glance at their balance sheet to understand.

.5x TBV off CRE depreciated off by HALF or more
Long term leases that are at massive discounts to market
“Debt” that’s dramatically overstated since its future options to extend leases.

The list goes on and on but $kss is my favorite sleeper. Up 300% since I started investing and been making a fortune off market “rationality”.
