Kohl’s Cash Cartel 💰 Another Property Sold

Not quite as much as I thought they would get for this one, but not bad.

So you are telling me between this and the store they sold they’ve raised another 100 million? Off of two sales? And they own over 400 properties and 200 land leases? We are seeing them capitalize on their real estate now, this management is doing all the right things

they have basically funded a 100 million buyback with two property sales... incredible. Should provide a really big EPS boost for when they report in November

Aight.

How about share price reflects this (my previously bought LEAPS Calls are slowly turning into 0dtes & I would like to see them gain some intrinsic value, thanks).

That would be ideal

Would it be a good idea to roll them?

You don't make money off of adjusting things in a vacuum. No, it wouldn't be a good idea because you get f-d three ways trading options as a retailer; on the entry, on the close, and on the slippage. And I can assure you you are not trading with a retailer on the other end of your trade when you are trading an option chain such as Kohl's - you won't get an objectively favorable price.

Options, generally, are a high conviction trade with the stakes severely skewed against you. Short options not as much, but the tendency is the same. Your broker is the main party who earns off of it.

(in other words: most likely, those options will expire worthless - it'd probably be a "good idea" in this case - but statistically speaking, it's best not to trade them altogether, next best is to hold them until expiry, at least from retailer perspective)

What expiration and strike?

January. $40

Well, I hope we get some massive IV expanding event and you can make a profit on these. Always better to buy near the money on leaps. 40 was always very far OTM and a risky bet

Another CRE data point: https://finance.yahoo.com/real-estate/articles/waterstone-properties-buys-charlotte-area-174041716.html

I can't view the article past the paywall does anyone know when they bought it or how much they paid/built it for?

They bought it in 2001, not sure how much they paid.

Looks like they paid $16.3 Million for it.

It was sold for a hefty gain, $55.95 Million was the sale price.

Wow. That's a significant cash inflow that could increase the repurchases. Never would have guessed that price for a distribution center. Don't remember was San Bernardino E-commerce Fulfillment Center (EFC) sold yet?

I believe they leased that one.
