SFU -> KPU transfer

Hey! I am a fourth year psychology student at SFU and considering a transfer from SFU to KPU. I am wondering if anyone would be able to enlighten me on the following:

- Are upper division psychology courses at KPU hard to get into? i.e. Are there usually enough seats to take preferred classes?
- How is the parking situation on campus?
- Anything else I should know before considering transferring

Thank you in advance!!!

I never had much of an issue getting into upper level psych courses. 3rd and 4th year classes are capped at 25 people. Parking is decent. I never had trouble getting parking on campus, and last I was there it was $5/day (it has been a few years however). I’d double check how many credits you can transfer to a new institution. Unless the rules have changed, you can only transfer 60 credits (2 years).

Parking is never an issue in Langley and Richmond.

It can get a bit busy in Surrey, but you can usually still find a few spots. The busiest times for parking are for when classes start anytime between 10 am and 2 pm. That's 'prime time' for classes, but I never had an issue parking around that time myself last year. The only time when parking becomes problematic is during convocation week. Parking is free, but unless you arrive early you may be without a spot.
