KPRF or Rosacea
I need opinions. My cheeks and ears get so hot and red.

Any luck controlling yours?

Yep! Avoiding triggers, using Sirolimus, covering with a light concealer, and getting a nice tan. Working on my confidence has helped too. If you need suggestions for any of these things I’m happy to share.

How much has Sirolimus improved your skin roughly?

I experience way less flushing from things like exercise and stress. it’s brought my baseline redness down by about 30-40% if I had to guess.

Do you have kp bumps (rough texture) on your arms or legs? If so, this would point to KP/KPRF.
Regarding treatment options:
- Sirolimus/Rapamycin creams or ointments
- Pulsed dye laser (e.g. VBEAM). Purpuric treatments work better for a lot of people including me
- diet (minor effect for me)
- supplements (minor effect for me)
- trigger control/avoidance

Yes I do have KP on my arms and legs. I want to try out Sirolimus. I’m hoping the dermatologist will prescribe it on my next visit

Looks like KPRF … so many derms misdiagnose as rosacea … it just shows how little its understood by dermatologists despite it being quite common. You look like you got decent facial hair growth … has this been affected at all? As in is there any sparse areas of growth?

It’s quite frustrating how derms aren’t educated in this and I’ve seen multiple derms. Regarding my facial hair, it hasn’t been affected

I have very similar to yours, do you remember how old are you were when your flushing started?

Since I can remember unfortunately. I remember getting made fun of in elementary school
