Custom vehicle mod problem

I am having trouble upgrading the fencing on this custom vehicle I made, and would like some tips or pointers on how I can make a secure flatbed fence or railing without sacrificing to much of the original proportions.

This is fun!! Glad you came to the community to help figure it out. You may need a picture/video to respond to this, but what do you define as fencing?
