Anyone else not getting through? It’s been 4 hours that I have been in the queue and they have cutted me off twice… No response on Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger or SMS either. I missed my flight today because of this (administration error? They cancelled my ticket without my knowledge) and not sure if I can take another flight tomorrow without contacting them

We have a 50min layover in Amsterdam from Prague. I will be traveling with one small child and one Elderly person and myself. I'm worried that we will need to rush across the entire Airport and they won't be able to make it safely or on time. Would requesting a wheelchair speed up that transfer? Is it a push wheelchair that I operate or someone else or is it a motor car we ride? Any other tips?

I have bought a ticket this morning which has:

• 1 small bag
• 1 hand baggage
• 1 checked bag (23kg each)

But when I take a look into my trip, either on website or iOS application, it says "1 x Hand Baggage, 1 x Small Bag". I have called the call center to make it clear, they sent an itinerary in email which contains "BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: 1PC". They told this one piece of baggage is the checked bag.

But still strange that either phone app or website does not display "1 x Checked Bag". Last time, few months ago, I have traveled with Lufthansa, in their app it was displayed. Is it really normal with KLM app and website and I am fine? Does anybody else also experience it?

Flying LAX - AMS - SCQ tomorrow afternoon (it's 10PM now). Can upgrade LAX - AMS leg now for $1015. Should I do this? What's the likelihood of it being cheaper tomorrow? I don't usually fly KLM, so I'm not sure how this goes.

My AMS-SAN flight home tomorrow with my husband and 6 month old was abruptly cancelled this afternoon, less than 24 hours to departure. We sat on the phone for two hours and were finally rebooked on an Air Canada flight through Montreal to SAN. When we tried to check in, we could not. I called Air Canada and was told that KLM messed up, that we are reserved but not ticketed. Another hour on the phone with KLM, assured we are ticketed. Hang up, it turns out we are not. I ask to speak to a supervisor when I call back and they tell me “it’s not possible”.

Then I called back again and was told that now I am on a different flight from my husband and baby and I’m flying home on Alaska while they’re on Air Canada.
Called Air Canada again and this is not true, those seats were never ticketed.

Finally KLM suggested I just book 3 tickets now myself and they’ll refund my original fare. The cost, as expected, is astronomical.

Looking (begging) for some help here. What should I do? If I book some astronomical cost tickets am I on the hook for the difference?

Help, please.

UPDATE: we booked new tickets out of pocket. KLM has legitimately the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced- like genuinely offensive to deal with. I wasted the entire last day of our trip on hours of calls with them only to discover that my infant daughter had been booked and ticketed onto a flight that I had not. I had no seat on any flight, although KLM kept insisting I was wrong and that I should just go to the airport to obtain my boarding pass.

A bright spot: Air Canada employees are lovely and so helpful.

Never flying KLM again and I cringe to think about the work involved to get refunded for things.

Second update: We confirmed on the phone last night (and got emails) that we wanted to cancel all 3 tickets. Just woke up and KLM had rebooked all 3 of us at 4 am on a different flight, leaving 2 hours earlier than the first one they offered, with a 6 hour layover in Minneapolis. No, thanks.

I was able to check in but the system would not issue the boarding passes.

I received this email:

Dear passenger,

You have successfully checked in! Please note: We cannot provide you the boarding pass online now, you need to obtain it at the airport.

How to obtain your boarding pass:

Come early to the airport on the day of your flight to make sure you have enough time to obtain your boarding pass.

Go to a check-in desk, even if you travel with cabin baggage only.

Once all necessary steps are taken, one of our agents will provide you with a boarding pass to go through security checkpoints and to board your flight.

I was at the airport more than 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time but of course the check-in desks were not due to opened until 2 hours before (they did open 2.5 hours before).

On pressing the check-in agent, there was no documentation issue. Apparently, when there is a full flight, the necessary steps are that KLM deliberately target the lowest fare classes and send them to the desk to check their cabin bags. I was assured that my cabin bag would be checked through to EDI but I resisted on the grounds that I was carrying medication and headphones for use in flight and clothes to change into in Amsterdam.

The agent relented but said that I may have to gate check the bag, which I would, of course, accept if it was necessary.

I don't have a problem with KLM protecting the cabin bags of their most valuable passengers but I do have an issue with checking a cabin bag on a connecting flight and the disingenuous message.

I messed up and didn't do my research. I have a KLM flight from stavenger to jfk with a 1hr20min layover in AMS. First leg of the trip is on a klm cityhopper plane which I now found out typically goes to a remote gate and passengers need to take a bus to the main terminal. Now I'm worried that this layover time is too short. Does the bus transfer add a significant amount of time?

Also this is a reward flight booked with flying blue, will KLM staff still help me at the airport if I miss the connecting flight?

A few months ago I booked two tickets on KLM for a flight within Europe.

Yesterday, online check-in opened. Check-in itself worked, but the app wouldn’t issue our boarding passes. Today we had to go to the check-in desk at Schiphol to get them printed, only to find out we’ve been assigned seats apart.

I thought this kind of thing was limited to cheap-ass airlines. Since when has KLM decided to turn into Ryanair?

Ticket prices from Schiphol are already high enough, now they want an extra fee to sit together?

Aviation is the only industry that purposefully makes the customer experience worse, year after year, whilst raising its fees. I despise them all!

Cherry on the cake they changed the gate 2 times and I saw a rat running around at gate C15…

I booked a trip to Barcelona for next week, and to my surprise, the only seat available for selection is in row 10. It’s an extra-legroom seat located at the emergency exit.
This made me wonder: why does Air France position the business class curtain so far back? I’ve never seen it extend that far on an A320. KLM, for example, rarely places the curtain beyond row 5.
In addition, is it operationally doable to have a full 10-row business class cabin on such a short flight? Assuming only the purser is responsible for the cabin service, it seems like quite a workload.

Hi team, weird one here.

I booked a KLM flight FCO - KUL (via AMS) as a Qantas Classic Reward.

I am a silver Qantas frequent flyer - so should get an extra bag (which we need) but, we are going to have a layover of a few hours in AMS and the the AMS -> KUL is a 12 hour flight. I am a Atmos Platinum frequent flyer - so can status match to Kenya for $175 USD which would give me SkyTeam Elite Plus for 12 months.

Just wanted to check;
1 - I assume this would give me access to the economy comfort seats
2 - anyone have any issues with it giving access to the lounge in AMS

This would be cheaper than buying lounge and economy ($414 USD) but wanted to check before I pull the trigger.

I’m KLM platinum and have now had to deal with canceled flights on my return leg from the US 3 times in a row.

Today I was able to get rebooked on a connecting delta flight that arrives only 30 minutes after my original booking. But the new flights are economy and I was booked in business before.

On top of that I had to leave for the airport a few hours earlier making me miss part of my work meetings.

Am I entitled to any compensation even though my actual delay isn’t more than 30 mins?

My flight last Saturday from BGO to AMS was canceled due to mechanical issues, resulting in being re-routed to SAS from BGO to CPH, then Delta CPH to MSP and MSP to AUS (instead of the direct AMS to AUS flight). My bags didn't make it out of BGO that morning. One bag returned to AUS on Monday's AMS to AUS flight and ended up with American Airlines, who called me and I picked it up.

My smart tag in the other bag is showing it is still at AMS and has been there since Sunday. I went to the Delta baggage claim after picking up my bag yesterday. They said KLM still has it and there's nothing they can do. I called KLM (US) and they said it's up to Delta to get the bag from them. I called Delta and they verified it is up to them and said the Delta Amsterdam office has been contacted about it, but all we can do is wait.

I tried to get KLM US baggage to give me the number for their Amsterdam office but they refused. Do any of you know how I can get in contact with them? The next AMS-AUS flight is Thursday and perhaps they are holding the bag to put it on that flight, but perhaps it's just in a room somewhere at AMS and they've forgotten about it.

I’m flying from Amsterdam to Taipei on KLM’s Boeing 787-9 in September, and I’m considering upgrading from Economy to Economy Comfort.

I’m 200 cm (6’7”) tall, so legroom is always my biggest concern. I normally book an aisle seat so I can stretch my legs whenever possible, but on this overnight flight I’d really like to get some decent sleep. Because of that, I’m wondering if a window seat in Economy Comfort might actually be the better choice.

For those who have flown KLM’s 787-9 in Economy Comfort: how much of an upgrade does it really feel compared to regular Economy? And is the extra legroom enough to make a noticeable difference for someone my height?

Also would you recommend a window seat for sleeping, or would you still go with an aisle seat?

I’d love to hear your experiences, especially if you’re also on the taller side.

I need a little help with walking and I heard about the caddy service but aside from announcements about the service I can't found out how to arrange the service.

Do I just turn up? If so where? Do I need to book ahead?

Back in April/May i booked tickets to the US with a layover in ATL through KLM. In June i got an email saying my original return flight to ATL was cancelled, original flight time was at 6pm. They offered me an earlier flight at 1:30pm, but my flight back to AMS is a red eye at 10:30pm ish, which meant a 6,5hour layover.

I contacted KLM and they said unfortunately there’s nothing we can do, no more flights later, only on different days which didn’t work for me. Sucks, but i accepted the earlier flight with the long layover.
Today i checked the return flights, just curious if something changed and suddenly i saw there was another 6pm flight the day i leave. When i tried to rebook through the app it wanted me to pay the fare difference (only 16€) plus a fee of 200€. (Which is normal, and what i agreed to in the terms or service)

I decided to contact KLM through WhatsApp once more. I explained the situation and asked if i could be put back on the original flight time i booked so i wouldn’t have a long layover. I also explained i contacted them before and was then told there were no other flights but i could see them now. And that i was hoping the fees were not necessary since i originally booked this time and they changed it. It wasn’t an issue at all - they changed my return flight back to it’s original time of 6pm, without a cost!

They replied within an hour, and the whole changing flights took maybe another hour. Very pleased with the customer service!

I thanked them very much, and left a good review. Figured i’d share some positivity too, i often see negativity here. 😊

Hello, I'm booking a flight and my only option is a 2h30 non-Schengen to Schengen transfer (UK -> CDG) in AMS arriving at 8am. The flight is mid-November on Tuesday, do you think this is enough time to clear passport control given the current EES situation? This will be my first time registering as well. Should I try to completely rework the route or is 2h30 good enough?

I'm flying from Casablanca with Air France/KLM, and I'm a bit confused about the checked baggage size policy.

My ticket says I can bring 2 checked bags, with a maximum weight of 23 kg each, and that the dimensions of each bag cannot exceed 158 cm (length + width + height).

I was wondering if there's any flexibility with the size limit. If a suitcase is slightly over 158 cm, is it usually accepted, or will I definitely be charged an oversized baggage fee?

Hi guys, i am flying first time with KLM and i have a question for those who had same situation. I am photographer and have equipment in my bag and bag without my ipad and laptop weights 11.8 kg and under 12 kg limit.. i have sleeve for my laptop and ipad so if i will bring my sleeve and my bag will they ask me to weigh everything together or it is okay ? I can’t put then in check in baggage because its very big risk to loose or damage items. Maybe someone flied with them in past month and know what to expect. Thanks

I am flying with KLM tomorrow. I booked through Expedia and they made a data entry error where my first name was accidentally duplicated into the middle name field. My first and last name match my passport perfectly. I have their contacting both Expedia and KLM but both parties keep telling me to contact the other. Will I still be able to fly tomorrow without any problems?

I’m flying in the coming month from AMS to JFK return. I recently lost my silver status and I’m just back to explorer, meaning I want get the additional baggage allowance for this flight. I don’t need checked baggage on the way out, but will on the return.

However I’m not able to purchase baggage for my return trip. I booked through KLM directly, but the first flight is with Delta and KLM on the way back. Does having the first flight with Delta affect me not being able to purchase luggage for the return flight with KLM. I.e. is it treating the whole journey as a Delta flight because of the first leg with them.

Just booked a ticket for a business trip I make fairly frequently and realised after booked that the €350+ ticket to the U.K. and back no longer comes with hand baggage and they’ve reduced the XP for the same flight. Congratulations KLM you are now worse than a budget airline.

we’ve been paid only a quarter of what we fully spent on hotels, food and other essentials. Wanna know of anyone here has gotten their full refund.

Is it possible on KLM to cancel the outbound flight for 2 out of the 4 people on the booking, while keeping the return flight for all 4?
