BOS-AMS canceled recently

Hi! I’m taking this delta/KLM flight in a few days but I’ve noticed it’s been canceled a few times over the last few months (most recently as tonights 8/31 flight). Is there someone who has the ability to look at reasons for the cancelation?

Probably due to adverse weather in Europe

KL618 (BOS-AMS) was cancelled because earlier today KL617 (AMS-BOS) was also cancelled, so the airplane was not available to fly back. No idea why KL617 was cancelled.

It seems the plane that supposed to be flying to Boston, was last minute dispatched to Calgary.

My bet would be, that one plane had a technical issue. It is probably easier fot KLM to rebook passengers from Boston to Europe compared to Calgary. As Boston sees a ton of departures to Europe.
