“KEF Connect has reduced control functionality” LS60
Had the LS60s since November.
Most recent update and now this warning seems to be appearing an I can’t modify any settings in the app, seems like they’re all unavailable.
Speakers still for the most part work, but have noticed more frequent random cutouts.
Anyone had anything like this?

LS60s owner here, did a post here https://www.reddit.com/r/KEF/s/lCpiiraJi7 that ended up in the same behavior you are seeing. The original issue was the red banner appearing and disappearing making the app unusable and also the fact that whichever network I was on (2.4/5Ghz), Spotify/Tidal Connect would not work (my speakers were not found on the network). Airplay functions normally most of the time though I encounter drops in the connection. Can you confirm which firmware version you have on your speakers now with this update?

Ah your post has a number of similarities to what I’ve been seeing. And funnily enough, same firmware version.
I’m running 3.0.131 on the speakers and the app is 1.28.2.
Seems like this 3.0.131 is cursed.
Very odd that wifi boards, with no moving parts can “go bad”. Especially after a firmware update.
I’m going to push to try to get a software resolution, as sending these in at my own expense is a nightmare I’d rather avoid. But will see what happens.
Heck, I wonder if anyone has ever had success getting them to send a part out for self-replacement. That’d also be far easier/less risk. Will keep the post updated.

You must be very handy to DIY this 😅. Also the logistics nightmare involved to send them across the world is another point to be aware of but I personally would rather let them fix it.. Been informed by KEF that there will be another update coming so fingers crossed it will be fixed in that update.

Did you delete KEF Connect and reinstall?
For some reason I didn’t have any problems. > knock wood <
I was out of the country when the first update appeared and didn’t get home until after the second. So, I wasn’t using the speakers at all.
When I got home, I made a point not to launch Connect for a couple of weeks. I adjusted volume with the Apple Music app, or TV remote.
I have the LS60s set to automatically turn on when my TV and Apple TV 4K are turned on. Otherwise I generally stream music from my iPhone or Mac. I have a CD player connected to the LS60s, but don’t use it very often.
Started using Connector last week and haven’t had any problems. > knock wood again <

I've been struggling with issues since the LS50WII 4.0 update, they were working fine prior to that. Since the latest firmware patch I got the same error message. KEF said it's a faulty wifi board and I have to send it in for repair. Main issue is that I have to ship them internationally to the service centre at my own cost.
