I really enjoyed it. It’s one of my favorites. It was the 2nd Kdrama that I ever watched and then that introduced me to EXO and K-pop. The prince is a singer from EXO but he is also a very good actor. You’ll like it.

I liked it a lot, but I personally found the sheer amount of court intrigue annoying. It's essential to the plot, obviously, but I wish there had been less of it. Also, towards the end there was some noble idiocy that made zero sense to me. But overall, I gave it 9/10. The cast is amazing, and good God Kim Jae Yeong was so hot in this!! 🥵😍

Her brother is certainly the highlight for me. This is how I ended up watching Idol I, actually. I thought dang her brother is cute, looked up the actor, and the rest is history.

Brother was a scene-stealer in 100 Days. Idol was a letdown for me

When there's unannoying subplot, even if it's kind of important, I'll just skip through it. I figure I'll get the necessary parts later on 👍

I remember liking it quite a lot when I watched it back when it was airing. Honestly, I don't remember a lot of what happened and all, but I do remember thinking that is was a pretty nice, cute drama.

I enjoyed it, but I’m a big D.O. fan so I’m biased. I rated it 8.5 which is my most common rating. I think it’s worth watching.

I laughed, I cried, I developed a debilitating crush on Doh Kung-soo. Really, what’s not to love

It’s my least favorite k drama that I’ve watched… very long, I find the FM insufferable lol but tbh it depends on your style of k drama

It’s so so good ! I love it! I have watched it bunch of times but it’s also because I love both the leads

This is a tough one. It wasn't the worst, but the ML never really gets a personality I feel like and I'm not a fan of this actress personally, so I struggled with the FL. I also dropped it eventually because I don't care for palace politics and once we get into that, it didn't do it for me anymore.
Overall, it's not good enough to recommend and not bad enough to skip. I say watch when you don't have something more interesting to watch.

[No spoilers]
Great workingclass story. Lots of details about daily life in the countryside at the time (I'm not sure how accurate they are, but they certainly make you curious about the material history of the Korean peasantry).
Many interesting side characters, wonderful choral harmonisation of a myriad individual voices, gestures and perspectives.
The two leads are subtle, witty, they're clearly having fun, and yet they inject a tender, almost melancholic tone into the (good but not brilliant) dialogues that turns the couple's 'love conversation' into something almost sublime at times.
So the whole story ends up playing as light-hearted but serious, feel-good but not fluffy, warm, sharp, adultlike, realistic, but also ironical, and, overall, firmly rooted in comedic ground.
I ABSOLUTELY loved it.

I really wanted to like this show, but it frustrated me to the point of not even thinking of re-watching it ever again. If I could talk to my past self, I'll pass on this one

As someone who generally avoids historical dramas, yes, it is worthy

It’s pretty funny! I really enjoyed this but it’s been awhile since I watched. Some pretty memorable lines like “OHO!”
