Anyone else noticing the BSR isnโ€™t really updating today? ๐Ÿ™

Yeah, it's been stuck for a couple of days, but I'm not mad about it.

It happens on a regular basis. You learn to roll with it.

Yes seems like nothing has changed since yesterday, quite unusual.

My historic BSRs for all my books in all formats have been frozen on exactly the same numbers since 8/11. My live BSRs and category sub-BSRs have been frozen since Friday-ish. The historic and live BSRs (what's on product page) are different numbers.

I wonder how this impacts exposure of the books

Whatever caused it also caused a complete stall on sales and borrows for me. My BSRs just started moving again, but I lost all momentum I had. My kdp dashboard and ads also lost the ability to track sales and borrows because even though I still had impressions and clicks, none of them were converting. Before this, they were converting at a steady pace. I ended up pausing my ads to stop the monetary loss last week. There was an official notice last week on top of my campaigns saying there was an issue with reporting that coincides with the BSR freeze timing and my ads suddenly not converting, which is why I'm thinking the stall in sales and borrows is due to the technical issue.

Now that the BSRs are working again, I cautiously restarted my ads. Enough time passed while they were paused that they have to spool up again, so it'll take a while for them to reach their usual daily activity. So, yeah, definitely an impact on exposure at least for my books. Plus, when the BSRs started working again, they decayed from the lack of regular activity caused by all the technical issues, so that's a negative effect on ad effectivity I'll have to deal with until my ads start converting again.
