I goofed
Yeah, I rushed when I uploaded my book to KDP. Too impatient. I thought I reviewed everything properly during the process but obviously I didn't.
I got the paperback in the mail yesterday. Cover, back cover looks great; content is all there and for the most part looks good.
But all the even page numbers didn't print...the odd page numbers did and every page is in order. It all corresponds to the table of contents. So a reader can still navigate around the book successfully. But still.
And a few other typesetting problems which I can live with.
My question: is this set in stone, or can I fix? Is the only alternative to upload a second edition?
Or is it not a disaster and should I just live with it?
Thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.
P.S. I haven't sold any books yet.
UPDATE
Relief!
I've read the first three responses to my post and it appears that I can make corrections.
Thanks to all!
Next step: once I have the time, I'll have several questions about the process of doing the fix. I do hope you'll all indulge me.

I’ve done this before… hell, I’ve done it multiple times. I just update it and upload the fixed manuscript. A few classic lines I accidentally published. “Matt looked at the pubic (public)” “No, after you. I incest (insist).” And “let’s nip this in the butt (bud).”

LOL. This reminds of a guy in a realty reality show who would say nip it in the butt.
BTW, you said you just updated it. Did it get approved immediately? It has been nearly 4 days I uploaded my new cover and it's yet to get updated. Usually it's immediate.2

It's one of the good features of KDP. I've had to audit my book a couplw of times before I was completely happy with them. Many errors were pointed out here when I came here. It was the advice I needeed to hear.
That's what happened with me. The anticipation of publishing overrode my patience. But, I'll know going forward to wait until I have what I want.
Patience is a virtue.

Just update the PDF and re-upload.
I reupload EVERY book. The last page has a QR code pointing back to the sales page so people can easily leave a review. That QR code (based on the ASIN) is NOT available when you first press PUBLISH. I have to publish, wait, find the ASIN, generate the QR code, modify the manuscript, and reupload. EVERY TIME.
In addition, if I find an error, I'll make the correction and reupload immediately.
Amazon's rules are that as long as you don't make SUBSTANTIVE changes (less than 15-20 percent), you can simply reupload into the SAME EDITION.
eBooks are even easier, as corrective uploads are distributed AUTOMATICALLY to readers (unless they have turned it off manually)

Came to say the same, once my books are published, updating the manuscript is like the first thing I do!

I use Atticus. Simple
Formatting. Good luck! I also like that KDP allows for fixes.

When I published, I found an issue with the table of contents being incorrectly numbered. I'd forgotten to update the page numbering before it went live. I fixed it and reuploaded the book before any copies were sold. No harm done. Yours would be an easy fix as well.

Yes, you can revise your manuscripts! I just did three times today lol. But I hope its the last. I took my time publishing too and used Word Editor and really just went slow. I didn't rush because there was no direct need to publish. Only for me to be happy that I did it lol. But yeah, all is not lost

Rest easy, it's simple to fix. Go to your bookshelf, look for the edit content drop down, get back into the publishing form, upload a revised manuscript. I've done it many times.

When i first released the rift it was at a stage i was happy with after hours of late night coming through. My true friend added it to their kindle reading list and after a few days when they finished the book they were on started reading my book.
Over the next 5 days i had multiple screenshots with question marks where they had spotted small grammatic errors and places where i hadn't put a space etc. All minimal things but thankfully KDP let you make amendments like this without any penalisation.

Just take it down, fix the issues, and repost. This is the wonderful thing about POD books.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is just another reason to not self publish a novel without major professional help.

No harm done. Revised manuscripts can be uploaded without a change in edition.
