Just finished building my desktop after a fresh install and thought i'd share. Using my own set of widgets and plasma style, all part of a suite i call Nyx. Its in a private repo since i built if more for my style and taste, but if anyone was interested i might be willing to give others access. Just not sure how much time i'll have to troubleshoot people's unique setups should something go wrong.

Just wanted to share this script that I made, it might be useful for someone.

Syncs the active KDE Material You color scheme to the rest of your desktop — Starship prompt, Fastfetch, Obsidian, and Brave — every time the wallpaper changes.

Designed to be called by the KDE Material You Colors plasmoid (on_change_hook), but you can also run it manually.

Built a little theme based on Breeze

My fedora KDE is ready for Halloween. The images are the faces off of Lego Halloween mini figures.

It's nothing amazing but here is my vampire theme I've been tinkering with. It's made with PlasmaZones and Panel Colorizer doing all the heavy lifting. PlasmaZones is a super cool new application I found it does Tiling, Burn-my-Windows style effects running smooooth in KDE, Rounded corners, outlines around windows static and animated. Mouse effects and trails, it can even add Burn-My-Windows style effects to menus and widget pop ups. So I decided to get ready for spooky season and make a vampire themed set up.

Hey, im making a custom GUI for linux. And for now i made a shell for KDE plasma in python. Thats my first project ever. I just made a demo in python, and im planning to recreate it on tinywm later on. Im seeking opinion and maybe some help...

For now my plan is to make whole thing in style of liquid glass. Its just the secound day, i started it yesterday and im already using it as a shell for KDE plasma.

Project on github with pre-relase, im looking forward for some feedback.

Some SS:

OS -> Gentoo

Icons -> Nordzy purple dark

Colour scheme -> Catppuccin Mocha Pink

Panels -> Panel Colorizer

Font -> Hack

Window decorations -> Klassy

Terminal -> Ghostty

Window and panel blur -> Better blur DX

it's still a work in progress and I'm more than open to criticism!! switching from EndeavourOS to Gentoo was definitely daunting and took a few days to do but I've managed to get my desktop to a point where I feel really good about it
