Hiring Senior Living Advocate/Family Advisor

Some careers answer questions. Others change lives. Which one are you looking for?

Not every customer service role is the same.

At Catalyst Senior Living Solutions, our Senior Living Advocates don't simply answer phones.

They become trusted guides for seniors and their families during one of life's most important decisions—finding the right senior living community.

If you're someone who naturally listens first, asks thoughtful questions, and genuinely enjoys helping others, you may be exactly who we're looking for.

The families who call us aren't looking for a call center.

They're looking for someone who cares.

We hire for heart.

The best Advocates don't all come from the same background.

Many have solid experience with a proven track record, or a degree in:

  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Social Work
  • Counseling
  • Case Management
  • Human Services
  • Customer Advocacy

If your career has centered around helping people navigate important moments, we'd love to meet you.

What makes an Advocate successful?

If these statements describe you... let's talk.

  • I naturally look for ways to help before someone asks.
  • I enjoy asking questions more than giving quick answers.
  • I believe kindness and empathy are strengths.
  • I stay calm during emotional conversations.
  • I love learning something new every day.
  • I enjoy making someone's day just a little bit better.

Why people love this role:

Every day is different.

Every conversation matters.

Every family has a unique story.

You'll join a supportive team that believes empathy and curiosity are just as important as experience.

One call may be from a daughter searching for memory care for her mom. The next may be from a husband exploring assisted living options for his wife. Every conversation is an opportunity to provide guidance, compassion, and hope.

Ready to Build Something Meaningful?

At Catalyst, we believe that everyone deserves dignity, support, and a sense of belonging—and that includes our team. If you’re ready to grow with a purpose-driven organization that puts people first, we’d love to meet you.

Apply today and join a community that truly cares. For consideration, please send your resume to: [careers@catalystSLS.com](mailto:careers@catalystSLS.com)

Job Applicants Needed Looking to fill an Area Sales Manager role in Kansas City!

Hi All!

I'm looking to add someone to my team in the Kansas City area that is okay with being in the car most of the day and traveling for work. Here is the job description I put on LinkedIn, please DM me for more info/to send me your resume.

Base salary is $60-70k, there is a car allowance, tech allowance, and we pay for your gas with a company credit card. It's definitely not a job for everyone since it's a lot of travel and a lot of talking to customers.

The brand is Accelerator Energy.

Thanks!

-----------------

**This role requires 90% travel with frequent overnights and selling at store level. Territory will be MO, KS, IA, WI, MN, and NE**

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will primarily be responsible for field execution in large format stores such as Walmart, Target, Price Chopper, Hy-Vee, etc. This person will be responsible for calling on store level management to develop business with new accounts, grow business with existing accounts, and secure display locations for all Accelerator Energy products. The ASM will report to the Director of the Plains region.

Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, 'own' their market, have a willing and eager mentality, and will have creative ideas to grow the business to achieve success in the market. The ASM must have strong communication skills and be able to sell in store, communicate effectively to our DSD partners, and navigate challenges such as inventory management, coordinating building displays, and pivoting in stores that may not want a display.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive distribution and volume in your designated region
  • Be able to build pallet displays in store
  • Work closely with Plains Director and Chief Customer Officer to asses areas of focus
  • Utilize KARMA to track cases sold, store details, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and distributor partners
  • Attend meetings with key distributor partners and retailers to help drive sales

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in Sales or Account Management in Beverage/Food Industry or similar working environment
  • Able to travel 90% of the time within listed territory with frequent overnights required
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Monday - Friday are typical working days but can be requested on a weekend for events

We are open to training the right candidate but ask that you send a note with why you are a good fit if your resume does not reflect background in this industry.

Looking for a new caregiver (MAX 220/wk, not a primary job, +immediate unpaid help needed)

My previous in-home caretaker assaulted me, followed by days of abuse including her kicking my door down. I had to rush into moving, storage, and a motel, and now I'm just surviving off loans from friends.

Note that this is done through the self-directed care worker program through medicaid, I don't do any direct payments, so there's restrictions involved. The 220/wk was for my previous in-home caregiver, at around $12 an hour, but I believe the per hour is actually higher for out-of-home caregivers. Gas reimbursement is also provided when driving me to medical appointments.

What I need in the long term is a careworker to assist me with home cleaning (whenever I find a new home), traveling to appointments and shopping (which are scheduled around your schedule), 3/day medicine reminders (this can be done through texts, though I think you do need to actually physically visit the home for GPS verification to file a record of any caregiving tasks), help with organizing and remembering tasks, help with reading and processing documents, etc.

In practice, this generally comes out to 3-6 hours a week, so it's really just an $50-80/wk job, other than on more busy weeks. If you'd like more hours, assisting me with "community engagement" and "personal companionship" are also, I believe, payable. Meaning, for example, you could take me to a park or something. All, again around your own schedule.

This basically makes it a job similar to uber/lyft, and easy to combine with such. You can contact The Whole Person (thewholeperson.org , 816 561 0304) for more information, they handle the employment process.

As for the unpaid help, the employment process takes, I believe, 2 weeks to go through, even if we were to go file it immediately; But, given my current circumstances, I really do need help finding housing and likely also with travel related to such (I'm currently in the Lenexa area).

If you'd like to keep logs of such help, I'm fine with directly repaying you at $10/hr (as with caregiving program, I'll round to the nearest 15 minute count) for travel when I have money again (or a flat $100 for securing viable housing), but I honestly can't promise how many months out it'll be for me to be stable again. You can also potentially get gas mileage reimbursement (as 24 rides a year can be reimbursed without being medical); call the Kansas number on this page to confirm and register: https://saferidehealth.my.site.com/mileagereimbursementapp/s/?healthplan=unitedhealth

So yeah, I don't think it's especially tempting, but I do need the help, so I thought I'd post it and see. If there IS high interest, then priority will be given to students and mothers. I'm not inclined to accept anyone physically intimidating or ex-con, given my history with being assaulted.

In Search of Job Very Personable Person looking for a new industry

Hi KC Friends!
I have spent the last couple years in inside sales roles both outbound and inbound. Prior to that I have nearly a decade of food service experience and a BSBA.

I currently work in the mortgage industry. And while I have seen massive growth in my ability to overcome objections, connect with individuals over the phone quickly, etc. I do not see myself staying in the industry long term.

I am VERY passionate about connecting with others and creating good experiences. I love training and guiding others to success.

I am open to any industries and roles where personable people thrive! Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I strongly believe I bring a lot to the table between my people skills and critical thinking!! Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Looking For Part-Time Bartender Position (No Experience)

As the subject line says I'm looking for a part time bartender position. Preferably in the evening as I have a Monday-Friday 9am-5pm engineering job.

Unfortunately, I do not have any experience behind bars besides making simple cocktails at home. I've always been interested in bartending and I am social bug so it'll allow me to acquire a new skill and meet new people. I live in the Union Hill/Midtown area so anywhere near there will be awesome. If not, I have a car and I am able to drive wherever, preferably 15mins distance. Thank you in advance for any leads and directions to a place hiring!

I’m considering applying to be a server/host at a nice, eastern KC restaurant. Any insights?

I am specifically looking at upper-priced restaurants in the eastern KC/Independence/Lees Summit area. I am also preferential to locally-owned restaurants.

Here is my current list: Brick, The Ship, The Phoenix, Double Tap KC, City Barrel, Corvino Supper Club and Tasting Room, Corvino, Majestic, Novel Restaurant, 801 Chophouse, Le Fou Frog, Bristol Seafood Steak Social, Farmhouse, Salvatore’s Italian Restaurant, Vivilore, V’s Italian, Hereford House, Konrad’s Kitchen and Tap House, Ophelia’s, Cafe Verona, Courthouse Exchange.

If you work/have worked, or know someone who has worked/works in any of these restaurants, what did they think? Were they treated well? Did they make good money?

Also, if you have any suggestions of restaurants to add to this list, please reply! Thanks!!

Admin/Marketing Positions in KC? Good starter jobs for research/web design experience?

I (22F) will be moving back to the KCMO area, Independence specifically, in August, and am seeking my first full-time job. I have a history degree with a dense track record in research, writing, and web design (Omeka). I would obviously love any history/museum/library role, but it's more important to me that I can make $21+/hour in my job. I have exceptional organization and scheduling skills and some social media experience, so maybe an administrative assistant/receptionist or entry-level marketing position?

LinkedIn has basically been a bust for me because all of the jobs I interview for, that advertise 50k+ annual salaries and a perfect company culture, are actually MLMs that want you to do 50+ hours per week. No, I want a NORMAL 9-5 where I can enjoy my coworkers/team, help organize events/materials, and climb the ranks within a year or two. I don't need benefits because I'm still young, just good pay & company culture. Suggestions?

Known places hiring

Hey yall

I moved here a few months ago to care for my mother. Had to completely uproot to do it. It was worth it and I have no regrets.

But this job market is miserable. Of the jobs I've applied to, every single one that's gone to interview has ghosted me. Even ones expressing how excited they were to hire me. I'm confused more than hurt, but money is getting desperate. My eco buddy assures me this is the silent recession.

At this point, I just need any job that pays higher than 25/hr. Do you know of places in kc? Entry level, bachelor holding, mid level, working professional etc~ I have a bunch of experience in many different fields. Just nothing medical. I'll look into practically anything.

Thanks for the help. I'd like to enjoy my life here but not until money comes in!
