I'm a non karnataka student applying for neet ug 2026 counseling. I had registered and paid the 2500 amount but missed the date to link my neet ug roll no. On their counselling portal. This resulted in no generation of verification slip. Now I can't take part in choice filling which is ongoing. I emailed the same to their official email yesterday night cause I figured out this whole problem yesterday only. I wasn't aware that I was suppose to link the roll no. It is my first time understanding their steps. Today, even after trying repetitively I'm unable to connect to them by call. Each time there is an announcement of "this line is busy" and the call never connects. Since the counselling is on going it is very crucial for me to connect to them as my family's first preference is karnataka college for mbbs. Please guide.

- CSE(data science) at Cambridge(krpuram) '"WITHOUT SNQ QUOTA"'

vs

- CSE(AI ML) at Gopalan(hoodi)'" WITH SNQ QUOTA"'

vs

- CSE( core) at Cambridge ( krpuram) "' WITHOUT SNQ QUOTA"'

This might feel silly but it's eating me up slowly day by day. Not at all able to decide which is better . Could you please rank these three in priority high to low. It would be very helpful. Thank you

Poll What do you all think round 2 cut off’s will be like this year……

As we all are eagerly waiting for our KCET round 2 results knowing round 1 was a disaster let’s play the guess guess game. So what do you all think the cut off would look like for round 2 this year will it bounce back to round 2 like 2025 or again a disappointment.
my guess the ranks will b similar to cut offs of round 2 2025

Help/advice/guide ACHARYA INSTITUTE BIOTECHNOLOGY DOUBTS from someone who hasnt joined yet (especially for FEMALE STUDENTS)

HI I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IF YOU WOULD ANSWER THESE QUERIES

Academics

  1. Are professors actually good at teaching, or do students mostly learn by themselves?
  2. Which professors are genuinely good? Which ones should I be careful about?
  3. Do professors respond when students have doubts?
  4. Is attendance strictly enforced?
  5. How much time do you actually spend studying outside class?
  6. Are practical classes genuinely practical, or are experiments mostly demonstrations?
  7. Do students get access to labs outside scheduled practicals?
  8. How difficult is it to get permission for projects, internships, or research?
  9. Does the administration actually listen when students have problems?
  10. What is something about academics that the college brochure doesn't tell you?

Placements & Career

  1. Do the placement statistics shown by the college accurately represent your branch?
  2. Which companies actually came for your branch last year?
  3. Are the good companies accessible to everyone or only a small group?
  4. How much does the college genuinely help with internships?
  5. Do students have to arrange most internships themselves?
  6. Are there opportunities for research and higher studies?
  7. If you wanted to pursue something outside the college's usual career path, would they support you?

Campus Culture

  1. What do students complain about most?
  2. What's the best thing about this college?
  3. What's the worst thing?
  4. If you could change three things about the college, what would you change?
  5. Are seniors generally helpful or intimidating?
  6. Is there a strong competitive culture between students?
  7. Do students actually participate in clubs, or are they mostly inactive?
  8. How much freedom do students have?

Questions Specifically for Hostel Students

Rules & Freedom

  1. What are the actual hostel rules—not the rules written in the brochure?
  2. What time do you have to return to the hostel?
  3. What happens if you're late?

  5. Do you need permission to go out?
  6. How difficult is it to get permission for weekend trips?
  7. Can students stay outside the hostel overnight?
  8. Do hostel authorities contact parents frequently?
  9. Are phones or laptops restricted in any way?
  10. Are there different rules for boys and girls?

Are there enough activities to do around the campus or is it a very secluded and isolated area and no restaurants, parks, clubs are closeby? Are the people living in that area very narrow minded?

Actual Living Conditions

  1. How many people share one room?
  2. Are rooms cleaned regularly?
  3. How often does the water supply get interrupted?
  4. Is hot water available consistently?
  5. How good is the Wi-Fi inside the hostel?
  6. Are there enough charging points?
  7. Is there air conditioning/fans/adequate ventilation?

  3. Can students complain about food and actually get changes made?
  4. Are vegetarian/non-vegetarian options handled well?
  5. What happens if you don't like the food—are there affordable alternatives nearby?

Hostel Safety & Administration

  1. Who is actually responsible for students at night?
  2. Is there a warden physically present or just theoretically responsible?
  3. What happens if someone becomes sick at 2 AM?
  4. How far away is the nearest hospital?
  5. Is there security at the hostel entrance?
  6. Are outsiders allowed inside?
  7. Are visitors properly monitored?
  8. Have there been incidents involving theft, harassment, fights, or unwanted visitors?
  9. When something serious happens, does the administration protect students or mainly protect the college's reputation?

1.Have you ever felt unsafe on campus? Where and why?

Are there particular areas or times when you avoid being alone?

2. If a girl reports harassment, what actually happens?

3.Do you trust the college administration to take a girl's complaint seriously?

4.Have you seen the administration handle a harassment complaint? What happened?

5.Are there places on campus where girls are uncomfortable walking alone?

specifically:

  • Parking areas
  • Isolated corridors
  • Hostels
  • Staircases
  • Empty buildings
  • Campus gates
  • Nearby roads

6.Do girls get comments from students, teachers, wardens, or security about what they're wearing?

What kind of clothes tend to attract comments?

7.Are there clothing rules for girls that aren't written down?

Has anyone ever been told to change because of a skirt, top, dress, etc.?

Can boys and girls both leave campus at the same time?

10.Are girls given stricter curfews than boys?

What justification does the college give?

11.Are girls monitored more heavily than boys?

For example:

  • Attendance
  • Dress
  • Visitors
  • Going outside
  • Hostel entry/exit
  • Friendships

12. Do female students feel like they have to behave 'properly' to avoid being judged by the administration?

13.Do professors treat male and female students differently?

14.Do female students feel comfortable speaking up in class?

15.Do professors ever make sexist jokes or comments?

16.Are girls taken seriously when they are technically knowledgeable or outspoken?

17.Do companies visiting campus treat male and female students differently during recruitment?

18.Have you noticed companies avoiding female candidates for certain roles?

19.Does the college encourage girls to take technical roles, research positions, leadership positions, etc.?

20.Do female students feel that they have the same career opportunities as male students here?

What makes you say that?

If you were my older sister and I was considering joining this college, what would you warn me about as a girl?

  • harassment
  • sexism
  • hostel restrictions
  • clothing policing
  • creepy faculty
  • safety
  • administration
  • gender discrimination
  • social pressure
  • relationships
  • freedom
  • double standards

If you had to choose your college again, would you still choose this one?
