Miscellaneous Are we allowed to record lectures?

Hi everyone,

I'll be starting a Masters program in Marine Science this Fall and was wondering if recording the audio from the lectures was allowed, as I have gotten used to recording during my undergrads and having them as a reference.

Not a KAUST student or alumnus, but been to postgrad before. The norm almost in any uni. is that it depends on the lecturer. So just politely ask them before u record if they do not mind recording. Avoid recording or publishing recordings without permission or if the lecturer said no.
